21 Tandem Repeats' Biography

In the summer of 2003 S. Robertson took 2 weeks holidays and locked himself into the official Canada Lynx Records rehearsal space (the shockcenter) and produced a 20-song effort called “The Ocean Is Life” on a tascam 440 4-track recorder. The CD made a splash in Vancouver’s underground music scene and a band was born.

The first recruit was ace guitar player Alec “Willingdon Black” Macaulay kingpin of the rock band STOKE and published author of the book “The Memorial Cup”. He is the type of guitar player to say, “I don’t think the song needs a solo”.

Next up came Chris “Two Sticks” Hobbs a versatile drummer with a feather-light touch and an experienced producer. Hobbs and Robertson had played together for years releasing 6 full length CD’s (on Canada Lynx R..
