What do Canadian Idol, Katelyn Dawn, Tea, and Mickael Maddison all have in common?

What do Canadian Idol, Katelyn Dawn, Tea, and Mickael Maddison all have in common?Asked by philosophers worldwide, I have decided it's time to reveal the connection to one of the greatest mysteries of the world. It all started with CBC's "New Music Canada" program. I posted my first CD to the new music website and after a few months I received an email from Clay Phillips. Clay captains Toronto Experimental Artists - Clay Phillips, which explodes to become the "Toronto Experimental Art ...

I love posting new songs... it's so much fun. It's like finding a goldfish swimming in the backyard, and you don't even have a pond. Or maybe it's like kissing a frog and then eating a jelly sandwich.Anyway, you can decide for yourself. The news is, Molecules of Oxygen has been posted on MySpace. Have a listening in session and let your brain relax.www.myspace.com/mickaelmaddisonNow I'd best go eat something. That jelly sandwich bit got me.Yours,Mickael ...

Good News is sexy!

I would normally eat sushi to celebrate anything, but today I'm going to need chocolate... Ok, so chocolate isn't the same for guys as it is for gals, but somehow it just seems appropriate.See, today I recorded the vocals for song #10... that's right, the final song for the CD. I was already quite thrilled, but then I read Page 19 of this:ArticleIt's a whole lot better than the article I saw the other day about about alien babies on Mars. Gotta love the tabloids.Stay tuned! ...

But after the show I needed some sushi. We couldn't find any after midnight so Denny's took us in. Not much of a favor really. Good times...

On March 15th my band and I were expecting to perform at the "Barriere Battle of the Bands" as arranged by Event Coordinator and President of the Barriere Minor Ball Association, Don Andrews. Early in March we submitted the required cheque for $50 along with our application. The event required an application fee and promised a first place prize of $700 cash and a 1 song recording. Shortly after our cheque was sent I received an email notifying me that the show was cancelled.&nb ...

The Fall of Rock

September is less than 2 weeks away. School is coming for those young enough to be incarcerated by the state for the simple crime of being born. Co-workers are returning from holidays to "who cares" and "blah blah blah" land (I only say that as I didn't get a vacation this summer). Fall is fast approaching, and the only thing that can save us is MUSIC!
Yes, that's it. Music, specifically the great and famous Rock n Roll we've all heard at least a couple times in our lives. This is a great time ...

Last night I was invited out to play at "The Leisure Loft" - part of Mike Turner's music studio here in Kamloops. It felt very strange to bring only an accoustic guitar, my lovely wife, and a bottle of sweet lemon water. Normally I'm loaded down with my electric guitar and an unusual array of amplification gear; but tonight was something different. Tonight I would play my entire set on an accoustic guitar.
A small, very intimate venue, the loft was almost small enough tha ...
