Tentatively we will be playing the Columbia on Fri. Jan. 5th 2007

My turn to the MySpace dark side

Recently I've been jumping fullbore into the MySpace experience. I had never really been aware of MySpace prior to hearing about Sugarblade removing their music content from MySpace servers. Thanks to the Opus Solo player, I've been able to be part of the "extended network" without giving up my music to sublicencing hell.

Personally one of the cool things about MySpace I wanted to share with you Opussers is that It's enabled me to find and communicate with the producer/enginneer/mixer/ of the Typhus music on the Project Opus site. My former colleague in department store heroism, the one and only "Shornstar." I hadn't talk to Shorny in a while.

I just got 10 000 days from Tool and I can't stop listening to it. It's Tool's best album since Undertow IMO. Tool hasn't been this heavy since their early days.

My thoughts on Ascent ( Not-Metal Song )

I struggle with the right way to discribe exactly what to say that could bring this track justice, aside from saying it's not like the others musically. For me it's a song from a different band, mainly because I'm playing guitar for this song and not the drums. This new band, with the early working name "px", has afforded me the opportunity to start playing again the instrument I started out playing in the first place. I had no idea how much I missed the guitar until I started playing it in an actual band situation. But don't get me wrong, I love metal, and I love playing metal. Metal was a huge part of my growing up. ( Kiss Alive 2 was my first album )
