Hey Opusers -

As you know I have been developing a health and fitness community on the side. Fitness tracking, weight tracking and so forth. We have yet to launch the thing public, and probably will not do so for quite some time.

So, in addition to working on ProjectOpus.com I am also working on a fitness community where people can track workouts, share their fitness experiences, etc. The website, although still hush hush will be called Gimme20

I personally believe that a community environment -- like projectopus.com -- surrounding some kind of product that adds value is going to be very big for niche markets. We will see!

Whitfield uploads the rest of their album!

One of the hottest bands on project opus is defintely Whitfield from Vancouver. I listen to them, retrograde, Stone Melodies and a few others on repeat.

Just today, I noticed they uploaded the rest of their album and I snatched it up (I actually purchased it without even previewing it -- I am a little spontanious this morning).

So, I am listening to it and I am very impressed. I find these other songs really capture there diversity.

Drupal forums improved on projectopus.com

The drupal forums out of the box are pretty ugly. Therefore, I decided to make them look a little better when viewing a post.

I used flatforum.module as a starting point and built from there. I will also be doing a number of other things to make it a little better in the next few weeks

Adding vBulletin like buttons
Making it less gay
Adding commands next to users (ie. send PM, make buddy, etc). Hopefully ajaxed!

Our top podcasts are now on Odeo and iTunes

In order to get our artists a little more exposure, I have added our global top music podcast and top per genre podcasts to iTunes and Odeo. Yahoo podcasts for some reason will not accept our podcasts -- I will try to get to the bottom of this!

Anyways -- if you are in the charts -- enjoy more exposure automatically!!!
