The Main - June 7

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I'll performing some new and somewhat older tunes at The Main on Thurs., June 7. I'll be singing and playing piano of course, Elijah Bak will be playing guitar, Loren Davidson will be playing drums and Debbie Bisgaard will be my back-up babe. She is a babe too.

A new project called Red Silo featuring Elijah, Loren, Byrun Stedmann and I will be starting things off. We're more of a country/folk/rock kind of band with a mixture of originals and covers by Wilco, Hank III and a few other folks.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone. It's been awhile since I posted but I was in Xmas caroling mode. Hey, a girl has to earn a living and whores' clothes are too cold this time of year.

I'll be playing some of my tunes at Trees Organic Coffee House (450 Granville St., Vanc.) on Fri., Jan. 12 at 8 p.m. A fun rock band called Slytone will start off the night and then I'll come on with Elijah Bak on guitar, and Kathleen Cauley and Debbie Bisgaard on harmony vocals. It should be a nicely varied night of music.

Purple Crab

Just a fiendly reminder that we're playing at the Purple Crab (3916 Main St.) on Fri., Aug. 11 at 9:00 p.m. Actually, my lovely guitarist Elijah Bak is playing his original country/bluegrass tunes first and then we'll switch singers and writers and I'll play a set of my tunes. Joining me will be Elijah of course along with my back up singers Julie Nishi, Kathleen Cauley and Debbie Bisgaard. We're even doing a song in Spanish with lyrics by Juan Ramon Jimenez. It's a very sexy poem called Luna Grande (Big or Full Moon). Gotta love the Spaniards.

Summer gigs

OK, I admit, it has been a while since I posted. This site is great but the truth is, I barely have time to update my own site and check e-mail much less add a blog entry. But better late than never.

I have some shows coming up this summer and the proud addition of back up vocalists to the band. They are Julie Nishi, Debbie Bisgaard and Kathleen Cauley. They also happen to be really good singers and fans of the music so things are sounding and looking good. You get to hear the gals and I at the following gigs this summer:

Hello everyone

After much harassing from Loren, I have finally edited my profile. This is a great site! Hats off to everyone. Of course, I am biased since Loren from Donat is my drummer and my brother. Anyway, the site looks great and I'll be visiting it often in the weeks to come. If anyone has any suggestions about my profile, please fire away. I've tried to be honest but there's always room for tweaking.
