Entry for November 26, 2007

I have one track almost completed, a number of tracks on the back burner and a bunch that are more like jingle length samples. I've decided that on this upcoming album I'm going to concentrate on a more organic sound, return more to my roots so to speak, this doesn't mean however, that I am throwing the synths out the window, I'm just going to warm things up a bit and concentrate on more sound textures and manipulations.

FOX NEWS SUCKS - November 17, 2007

I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone can buy into the bullshit that Fox News pumps out on a daily basis. They are nothing more than Republican Party Spin Doctors. I hope the poor, disheartened and demorilized people in this country will get out and vote next year. No politicians of either Party seem to care about healthcare for everyone, what is so wrong with socialized medicine anyway? The terrorist's at GITMO have it. Sorry I'm just sooo pissed with everything at the moment.

The Process - November 15, 2007

The process of living is like an adhesive that collects memories and experiences, like a big piece of duct tape dragged across a dusty shelf. So many things linger in my mind, they stick there, refusing to fade away until I purge them through the creative process.

Rut - October 30, 2007

I sit in front of the console, staring blankly between my monitors at the wall, lusting for inspiration when I know that that is the worst thing to do when trying to be creative. So many bits and pieces of ideas written on scraps of paper or recorded and saved as files on my computer. I can't seem to bring any one idea together at the moment.

I've been experimenting lately with recording the same tracks in two different media. I record to my Hard Disk recorder, mix and master the song and then do the same thing on my PC using Cakewalk Sonar Producer edition and the plug-in effects and the like to see which version of the song comes out sounding the most professional, at this point I believe that the Hard Disk recorder ends up sounding better due to the track headroom; however, I find that the PC version sounds a little smoother due t ...
