RHODE ISLAND FILM FEST!

I'm happy to report that the film in which the latest soundtracks appear has been accepted to the Rhode Island Film Festival in August!

OK, it's a tiny little state in the shadow of Boston and New York, but the film fest is a pretty big deal, so I'm pleased as are all the folks at Shifting Visions.

The film name is solidified, I believe, as "Not Your Mother's Roller Derby."
A New Batch

Well, finally, a new batch of songs. "Warriarz" (update), "Like Family" and "Always Win." The three we've uploaded today are the latest versions of soundtrack songs for "Not Your Mother's Roller Derby," another Shifting Visions film. They're getting to be quite a lively little film company. You can find them at www.shiftingvisions.com (where the film is listed under its working title, "Rolling with the Riveters"). As I write this, they're working on the next film. I'm kind of behind on the music. There's one piece that's not finished -- a nascent version may be on here as something like "Rollr Chks." I will work on that next month. Meanwhile, the film is on the march and may move on to several screenings without the complete score. Boo-hoo. But it's been fun, and the film editor deftly makes the music look good, so to speak.

They live!

Ya, ya, it's been over a year. But, truly, the folks at Heuron love this site.

We're working a bit more so I should be uploading more often. Anyway, after a year, I have finally uploaded "Bittern's Brew," the intro we wrote for Shifting Visions' "Venus, Priests..." documentary film. That film is getting around, especially college libraries -- I think like U Mass and Brown U, but I have to confirm that with the film company. Anyway, I really like "Bittern's Brew." The other song in the album (Jingles and Films), well that was a very specific thing for a specific purpose -- it is what it is.

Venus, Priests and Superwomen

Did I post this somewhere or just plain forget to hit Submit?

Well, it's been awhile since I got on here. But the exciting premiere of the film Venus Priests and Superwomen is coming up in Providence RI on January 27. Weehoo.

Last episode in the Venus saga, yon unsuspecting film got fused to a hard drive somewhere in the bowels of Shifting Visions Productions. But all will be well, I'm sure, and all the tortured bits of the film out of virtual Guantanamo by the 27th.

Day 2

OK, I tried to give my own songs a thumbs up. Shameless. Anyway, the software was wise to me. So hopefully someone will come along and do for me what I can't do for myself. I guess I'll have to start shunting all my good friends over to this little locus, huh?
