It was a bit challenging making this video because of the projections and the general lack of light, but I set up a couple of cameras and came up with this from the edit bay.
It's an artistic portrayal of the plight of Chinese immigrants when chinatown in Naniamo BC burned down in 1960.
The music was performed live by the Orchid Ensemble.

Energy stir sticks

Sound waves are energy.
As sand on the beach is turned to castles
so are sonic waves turned to songs.

As the castle washes away with wind
the song dissipates to ambient echoes.

mp3's will be magnetically unraveled
CD's will be recycled into shopping bags
melodies will be remembered as clarity de-composes

musicians are playing symphonies one moment
and then back to work on the fish boats

It's not my music but I have grown to like this song while creating visual effects and editing this music video by a Vancouver band called Filly Astro.
It's your non-typical low budget sci-fi flick. Political and social implications are purely co-incidental.
