With the help of Route 49 and more than 270 Markland Wood Country Club patrons & guests, we raised about $4000CAD. Funds will go directly to an orphanage in Haiti, which was destroyed by the earthquake. Thankfully, the kids were outside when it struck, so losses were greatly reduced. Sadly, the number of kids under their care has increased from 80 to 200.

On Friday, January 29, 2010 we will be joined by another great band - Route 49 - for the first Markland Rock ‘N’ Roll Pub Night at the Markland Wood Golf Club. This event is open to the public and net proceeds will go to charity. The Club has had a “no jeans” policy, although they will relax it for this event – “nice” jeans will be OK. If you are a club member, you can call Felipe at the number on the poster , and reserve a spot. There is a room limit, and based on pre-sales, a limited number of tickets will be available. We want to pack the place! This event will cost $25.00 including a buffet and cash bar. If you prefer to eat elsewhere, we will have $10.00 tickets available as an alternative. To reserve your ticket(s) drop us a note.
