Formed haphazardly in 2003 at an apartment above Hot Wax in Kensington, Calgary. Originally just some songs and fragments of songs that were shoved through some wires connected to an 8 track recorder that had a convenient USB output for connecting to a computer. Less than a year later a few more friends climbed on board what will heretofore be known ominously as 'the harrisonford project' and Ian's love for Billy Bragg, trumpets, keyboards and female singers amalgamated into a solid nugget of pure, unadulturated rock goodness.
Goodbye, living room.

OK. So. What I'm trying to do is play some shows in B.C. in August. I'm going to be there all month working and hanging out. Here are potential destinations. I have to do kind of weekend trips because most likely the car will be needed for work during the week. So: Greater Vancouver Area, Kelowna, Kamloops, Penticton(?), Vernon(?). Does anyone have any promoter contacts for low-key venues? Coffee shops? Whatever? I'm calling the Grind in Kamloops tomorrow to see what is on the agenda for the merry month of August. Also, Lindsay and Reagan and Heather should be coming with me. Which will be amazing. For the most part I'll be staying in the Salmon Arm/Scotch Creek/Shuswap area... (We will come and party with you on your houseboat) .

It's been a while. I've got some new demos on the way and I'm still planning on finishing uploading the album. You see, all my mp3s are in 128 kbps I think so I have to convert them. Or its the other way around: maybe they're in 192 and need to be in 128. Anyway, I'm totally lazy when it comes to converting files so it's taking forever. Also, I think my roommate and I will be working on a split CD for some very nice germans. Miss Lindsay and Reagan and I are going to be doing a kind of postal service type thing. I'm gonna send them my garageband files in vancouver and then they're gonna send them back with their parts recorded. I think it'll be pretty great.

... yeah i know its project opus but for some reason it just doesn't flow in a 'it almost sounds like a mega-villian from a spider-man comic book' sort of way. you know?
...anyway... i'm going to post the entire HF album and some free demos soon. maybe you'll read this, maybe you won't... i'm just beginning to understand how this thing works... anyway, i hope you like the songs...
...i'm going to go eat soup now.
