Well, last night I received the proofs for the graphics/packaging for my upcoming release, "Gee Joe". A couple of little changes are all that's needed and with any luck I should have a stack of them, all shrink wrapped and ready to go, by the end of next week or the beginning of the following one. I'm very excited; I poured my heaqrt, soul, and considerable bucks into this project. I've heard the final, mastered, version of it and I gotta say I couldn't be happier - it came out better than I had hoped. Then again, given the talents who played on it with me (including, among others, Dan Walsh, Redd Volkaert, and Noel McKay) I shouldn't have been suprised that it turned out so well. Not to mention the great recording/mixing by Eastside Flash of Flashpoint Recording Studios and mastering by Jerry Tubb at Terra Nova Studios; these two guys are among Austin's very finest, which is saying a lot.

Howdy,
I've not taken the time to respond to anyone's posts 'cause I've been totally wrapped up in finishing my CD. I finished the final recording and mixdown of everything today, so "all" that remains is the mastering (to be done on 5/2) and then the packaging (artwork/graphics, printing, jewelcasing, shrinkwrapping. Anyhow, here's hoping hi catch up with all the comments right now:
Stewie - Howdy. I don't know why these folks are writing nice things about me - maybe they're just really kind? Friendly? Lonely? Wacky? Seriously, you haven't heard about me because I've been keeping a low profile here in Austin until the last 6 - 12 months. I've got a CD in the can and it's getting mastered on 5/2. I'll put tracks on my website or here eventaully - I just don't want to post the unmastered tracks - you guys deserve the best! In the meanwhile, if you go to www.joegee.com and click on the "Sonicbids" icon you can get to my EPK and there's several tracks from a demo of mine that you can listen to, just to give you an idea of what I sound like.

Howdy. I just joined. I am a singer/songwriter and I play Americana and Roots-rock music. Unfortunately, neither of those genres are on the list of possibilities so I was forced to select 'Acoustic" as my genre. What is up with that? Actually, it's not so horrible; I guess all music involves acoustics, doesn't it...?
