| Biography: | Euterpe is currently composed of Jon Badiali alone, its founder. The band's title comes from the Greek muse of music and lyric poetry of the same name. My objective with Euterpe is simply to create for myself a means for creative expression, and to work on a lasting project that will eventually impact some lives in a positive way. |

He picked up playing the guitar when he was fourteen and has been amazing audiences with his talents ever since. He began writing and recording in the mid-1990s, and has been a non-stop blur until the current day! His songs and style are inspired by artists like Nickelback, Creed, Good Charlotte, Green Day, Evanescence, Maroon 5, Nightwish, Van Halen, Asia, Boston, Def Leppard, Dream Theatre, Edenbridge, ELP, Judas Priest, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Yes, and ZZ Top. Michael was fatally infected with FM radio that was playing constantly throughout his childhood, in the house and in the car, along with a scattering of Beach Boys 45s that he inherited from his Mother. He began playing guitar and writing songs around 14 years of age. Magazines, posters, CDs, cassettes and records were constantly scattered throughout his room, and a dream is born. Picture him sitting alone in a room playing and singing into a cassette recorder. Then, he was involved in a seemingly endless string of bands, where he cut his teeth and his unique style was germinated. Then, he moved to California in the mid-90s, following his heart and career. Over the next 15 years or so, he played and recorded with a chain of club rock bands, as well as many solo performances and recordings. Currently writing a book of poetry, based on existentialism and romantic meanderings, with a working title of “Better Late than Never.” "Trinity" will be pre-released at the first stadium concert of the 2007 "Holy Avenger" tour on August 25th , 2007 at the "Summerfaire '07 World Peace Concert" at The Orange Show Stadium in San Bernardino, California, along with a half dozen Midwest dates in mid August! “Trinity’s” official release will be in November 2007. The full-length CD, "Holy Avenger" will see its official release on Valentine’s Day 2008, where it will be available at iTunes, eMusic, CD Baby and select retail stores around the world, along with every date and venue associated with the world tour to support this ground-breaking release! | Biography: | Safe As Houses, the 2nd release from Vancouver's math majors, is an avant-punk "Dark Side Of The Moon". At once invoking the tech-rock artistry of Mars Volta and the stadium majesty of Led Zeppelin or Queen, The Approach have created a seamless work of elegant power. Three songs from the album have recently featured in the award-winning CBC series "Make Some Noise". Featuring members of The Red Light Sting, Closed Caption Radio, Portico, and Donkey Engine, the supergroup takes rock into an unconventional realm, creating moody recorded works driven with an innovative use of dynamics. Their first studio album, Wings Of Monarchs released by Flyer Records, topped many Canadian university stations such as CITR, CHSR, and CAPR, for numerous weeks. |

| Biography: | "...in the realm of Sonic Youth or Fugazi..." - Max Kauffman Hailing from Culver, Indiana, plankton is comprised mainly of Matt Pare and Tina Pare on bass, vocals, and guitar. 2006 began with plankton appearing on WNIT's "Open Studio," a program on local public television focusing on talent in the station's viewing area. Because of that appearance, plankton was invited to play a show at a popular club with crowd-drawing bands from the South Bend/Mishawaka area. At the time plankton had no drummer. Chris Nespo (Evil 10 Submission, US Thrash Company, Dorks With Glasses) had been sought out to play the TV spot but was unable to play the date of the club gig. From an ad placed in the forum of a venue's web site,Tim Post (Wichita Kansas Trailer Park Conspiracy) agreed to play the show and ended up staying with the band for a stretch of accomplishments. These include breaking into many venues formerly unreachable by the band and being selected to participate in the Chicago Bodog Battle of the Bands. Tim left the band in September 2006 for personal reasons. Plankton wishes Tim the best and everyone is looking forward to keeping in touch. For the time being, catch Chris Nespo or Jerry Mitchell (Jet Stream, Bad Habbit) on drums with the band! Matt was in a band in 1992 when he met Tina. That band went bust, but Tina and Matt stayed together. Tina began to learn bass. Matt and Tina searched for a drummer to suit their music. For one reason or another, people never worked out. In January of 2003 plankton was joined by Eric Scott on drums (Eric left the band in late 2005). Right away they new they could have something special if they practiced hard. Festivals, battles of the bands, private parties, and a free public performance on the Fulton County Court House (Indiana) lawn sponsered by the Fulton County Public Library have all contributed to the band’s growth and progress. They have been working their butts off to craft their originals into a crowd pleasing set of shock, amazement, and yes, even the occasional offense. So...what do you call THAT? Boyd Nutting, owner of now-defunct-but-always-in-our-hearts Club Cackle in South Bend, Indiana, described plankton as "Post-Punk / Art Rock." Something that helps to set plankton’s music apart, Matt and Tina switch off on bass and guitar. They both played drums in other bands. Adding to that, they write all the songs, and do all the recording themselves in their studio, Splatcat Records, with Matt acting as the band's ample engineer. Being a totally DIY band, Tina makes all the band's t-shirts - dying and printing them by hand. Influences run up and down these lines: King Crimson, Talking Heads, Beck, Midnight Oil, Laurie Anderson, Shellac, Big Black, Throwing Muses, Pixies, Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, Danny Elfman, Tim Burton, Wire, Firehose, Tool, Ella Fitzgerald, The Modern Jazz Quartet, XTC, Brian Eno, Joe Jackson, The Fall, Cure, New Order, Joy Division, Duran Duran, Juliana Hatfield... Bands plankton has been compaired to include Ween, Cake, Portishead, Pixies, PJ Harvey, The Breeders, Pink Floyd, and for some reason... The Cranberries. |
