| Biography: | Autobiography of an Unsigned Artist David played his first guitar at age 20. It was an acoustic that basically introduced him to chords and notes on the fret board. Then it was shortly after that, he purchased his first real electric guitar, a Fender Stratocaster. A couple of years later, a Les Paul custom and to add the icing on the cake, a hand made Boogie Amp manufactured by Mesa Engineering around 1982. Since he began playing, David was in and out of garage bands, always maintaining the Rock Genre. With the discovery of Michael Schenker, his dream was to play like Michael, but was just not capable of shredding, so instead, he created his own style of playing that has become his signature sound. In the beginning, lots of negativity came his way, but that didn't stop him pursuing the guitar. His style seemed to become more refined as time went along. Emotion seemed to become more prevalent in his playing. His guitar playing has achieved a level of certain viturosity and giving him the ability to venture out as a solo artist with songs that are beautifully layered track on top of track with different guitar sounds all in synchronization with each other. Thus Twilight's Edge has been created. Twilight's Edge is a musical entity that explores new areas of Rock/Metal. It is an alternative to commercial Rock & Metal music and is located in the San Francisco Bay Area. At the core of Twilight's Edge is Artist, Recording Engineer, Producer and Manufacturer, David Anderson. David's playing is a translation of 70's and 80's Rock guitarists and culminated into a distinctive style that truly is his own. As you listen to David's playing, you just might catch glimpses of Leslie West (Mountain), Ronnie Montrose (Hagar), Paul Kossoff (Free), Brian May (Queen) or even Buck Dharma (Blue Oyster Cult) and many other rock Legends of the 70's and early 80's. On the other side of Twilight's Edge is Nick Anderson, a young guitarist usually found in the Thrash/Death Metal realm. Nick took time out of his busy schedule to contribute a very tasty piece of Metal with an eerie instrumental that will surely catch your attention. Around 1988, David bought some studio gear and began experimenting around with recording. Learning what the equipment was capable of and stretching it to the limits. After a few short months, things came to a halt and the equipment sat for about 15 years. Then during the winter of 2003 David had an inspiration in music and was able to capture And so began a 3 year journey into the creation of a very unique and quite different CD titled Simply Guitar. It was through the Simply Guitar journey that provided the experience needed to self produce and self manufacture a CD. This all provides a basis for future projects that may also involve other musicians and/or artists. David has produced a CD that is unique and different than any other of its kind. Only the electric guitar is used to produce the basic beat, a passion and a melodic drive that the end result is nothing less than music with a life of its own. David Anderson has proven that he has the ability to go solo on a CD project without the assistance from any production group or groups to get the job done. This then becomes a labor of love for the craft as well as the music produced by that craft. This phase of the journey is now over and has morphed into a more complex Twilight's Edge, a more mature artist has emerged. Cheers and Best Regards, |

| Biography: | Composer, Sound Design, Filmmaker, Songwriting and General Mayhem. Born in San Diego, California in 1980, Devin Anderson has studied classical piano, composition with Prix de Rome winner Jim Heinke, film music with composer Hummie Mann and attended The Seattle Film Institutes 40 week Total Immersion program. Twice. He also plays bass with former PCP Berzerker members, Eric Hunter and Rod Bailey, in a currently unnamed rock group, and frequently collaborates with his wife, singer and saxophonist J. Marie Anderson. As a composer, in addition to scoring his own directorial debut, a short entitled ‘Folie à Deux’, he has composed music for several independent pictures, including but not limited to Wisconsin born filmmaker Jack Bennett’s surrealist film ‘Synthetik’ (which received it’s award-winning World Premiere at The Beloit International Film Festival in January of 2008) and Tim Boyd’s film ‘Uniforms’ which starred members of popular group Death Cab for Cutie. He has provided music for two promotional films produced by The Northwest Film Forum, the regions first and only non-profit organization for the film arts. He has composed concert works in various genres, including solo instrumental works, vocal works, and chamber ensemble, and recently was commissioned to compose for an Art Exhibition of egg tempura painter Nathan DiPietro. He has just completed musical duties on a short film, again for director Jack Bennett, entitled ‘The Neu Transients’. The picture runs 5 minutes and is a memorial to the City of old now over-run by condos and commercial construction, and uses the Seattle cityscape, the music, and the film’s two lead actors (Benjamin Moody and Astrid Benet) to explore ideas of reflection, space, rhythm and transformation. The work premiered at the Northwest Film Forum as part of their City Symphony program on November 19th. His score to ‘Folie à Deux’ was awarded the Gold Medal for Excellence at the 2008 Park City Film Music Festival under the catagory Best Original Music - Short Film. His particular type of electronic-rock (?) songs are strange, somewhat crude, and personal - rough first-take all-to-human vocals, with consistantly surreal lyrics, laid over intricately crafted, orchestral-like backing music and boiled to a simmer. He hopes to continue being involved in film and music until his death. |
