| Biography: | The Iacoponi Experience are a catchy three piece alternative indie rock band from Berkhamsted, near London, UK. Band members include: Andy Kirk on vocals and guitar, Martin Iacoponi on bass guitar, and Elliot Ledger on drums. The band all met in 2000 at the age of 10 as members of the same prep school, but didn't form as a band until late 2005 when Elliot finally got a drum kit as a christmas present. The problem of a band name came about before there first gig in early March 2006, a school talent show. Ideas flew about and 'The Iacoponi Experience', was suggested initially as a joke, due to the high popularity which Martin Iacoponi (our bassist) had with the opposite sex, all of them seeming to want the same thing, 'The Iacoponi Experience'. The other two band members thought this was very funny, so then confirmed this name with the teacher in charge before actually conferring with Martin, who, needless to say, had absolutely no say in the matter; the name was just intended for this one school show anyway... However, the name never changed. After the first gig we were 'on the map', people knew who we were, 'The Iacoponi Experience' was born. But it was not until the following year that things began to pick up a bit of momentum. Many songs were written in surges of creativeness, "I'll Be There" finding its way as our first hit with the public. In March 2007, The Iacoponi Experience performed this as their first single at The Talent Show, but then things took a turn for the worst. The band could never seem to agree a time to practice, and as a result, the song writing stopped, we were drying up. (But, we did get away with secretly stealing some bottles of wine at a party, playing drinking games in another room, and not being disturbed as people thought we were having 'band issues'. When they cottoned on, the third bottle was being finished...) However, strong friendship pulled us through these hard days, and in December 2007 we released our first CD, 'The Iacoponi Experience - EP', a 6 track EP including the hit single "I'll Be There", and the slower moving "Those Times", as well as a live version of "I'll Be There" from The Talent Show 2007. This kick started the creationism in the band once again, with a fresh batch of new songs on its way. March 2008 saw the band headline The Talent Show 2008 with their upcoming, second single "Everyoung", as well as a heart-stopping performance by an expanded band playing "Smooth" by Santana, with Elliot moving to lead guitar; also a substitute drummer, backing vocals, piano, and two trumpets were all involved. This can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdCx9Lj6a0I For the summer of 2008, the band have now employed an 'open release', meaning that they are going record songs as they are written, and to release songs as they are recorded. Having heard the first single "Everyoung" at The Talent Show, expectation could not be higher. Let's hope it does not disappoint... |

| Biography: | Autobiography of an Unsigned Artist David played his first guitar at age 20. It was an acoustic that basically introduced him to chords and notes on the fret board. Then it was shortly after that, he purchased his first real electric guitar, a Fender Stratocaster. A couple of years later, a Les Paul custom and to add the icing on the cake, a hand made Boogie Amp manufactured by Mesa Engineering around 1982. Since he began playing, David was in and out of garage bands, always maintaining the Rock Genre. With the discovery of Michael Schenker, his dream was to play like Michael, but was just not capable of shredding, so instead, he created his own style of playing that has become his signature sound. In the beginning, lots of negativity came his way, but that didn't stop him pursuing the guitar. His style seemed to become more refined as time went along. Emotion seemed to become more prevalent in his playing. His guitar playing has achieved a level of certain viturosity and giving him the ability to venture out as a solo artist with songs that are beautifully layered track on top of track with different guitar sounds all in synchronization with each other. Thus Twilight's Edge has been created. Twilight's Edge is a musical entity that explores new areas of Rock/Metal. It is an alternative to commercial Rock & Metal music and is located in the San Francisco Bay Area. At the core of Twilight's Edge is Artist, Recording Engineer, Producer and Manufacturer, David Anderson. David's playing is a translation of 70's and 80's Rock guitarists and culminated into a distinctive style that truly is his own. As you listen to David's playing, you just might catch glimpses of Leslie West (Mountain), Ronnie Montrose (Hagar), Paul Kossoff (Free), Brian May (Queen) or even Buck Dharma (Blue Oyster Cult) and many other rock Legends of the 70's and early 80's. On the other side of Twilight's Edge is Nick Anderson, a young guitarist usually found in the Thrash/Death Metal realm. Nick took time out of his busy schedule to contribute a very tasty piece of Metal with an eerie instrumental that will surely catch your attention. Around 1988, David bought some studio gear and began experimenting around with recording. Learning what the equipment was capable of and stretching it to the limits. After a few short months, things came to a halt and the equipment sat for about 15 years. Then during the winter of 2003 David had an inspiration in music and was able to capture And so began a 3 year journey into the creation of a very unique and quite different CD titled Simply Guitar. It was through the Simply Guitar journey that provided the experience needed to self produce and self manufacture a CD. This all provides a basis for future projects that may also involve other musicians and/or artists. David has produced a CD that is unique and different than any other of its kind. Only the electric guitar is used to produce the basic beat, a passion and a melodic drive that the end result is nothing less than music with a life of its own. David Anderson has proven that he has the ability to go solo on a CD project without the assistance from any production group or groups to get the job done. This then becomes a labor of love for the craft as well as the music produced by that craft. This phase of the journey is now over and has morphed into a more complex Twilight's Edge, a more mature artist has emerged. Cheers and Best Regards, |

| Biography: | Steve Cochrane is a self-taught guitarist/vocalist/songwriter who entered the musical arena with grand artistic ambitions. Throughout the 90s, he released a trilogy of albums bearing a trademark epic style. “A kick in the uplifting end of our soul”. “Musically invigorating and compositionally dynamic”. "A symphonic prog lover's wet dream". These were typical comments, along with favourable reviews and considerable airplay throughout Europe, various pockets in the US and in Quebec. Fast-forward to the current century and a new album called With Or Without, which takes a leaner song-based approach with emphasis on acoustic guitar and vocals. Still, the prog/art rock influences shine through in the intricate arrangements, fluid guitar stylings and in the lyrics, which are often surrealistic and philosophical. It begins with a brief finger-picked acoustic prelude, then “Key to the Sea” bursts forth with aggressive strumming and a muscular bass line. “The Greatest Since Rembrandt” offers a tongue-in-cheek look at pretense in the art world before surrendering to memories of youthful serenity in ‘Swans”. The final four tracks flow together to create an epic of sorts, including the dramatic “Abandon Ship” and the uplifting closer “Rise Like the Sun”. Unlike most of the CDs that are coming out by the thousands these days, With Or Without is an album that is meant to be listened to from beginning to end.... repeatedly. | Biography: | With life spinning out of control on tour in the UK as "The Ryecatchers," Danny and Mark decided it was time for a change… Returning to Vancouver, Danny bumped into an old flame, Shannon, and after a few drinks she decided she would rather be in a band than a relationship with him. Danny reluctantly agreed, phoned Mark, and formed Danny Echo in the fall of 2005! Since then the Vancouver music scene has embraced the incredible vibe of Danny Echos’ rock and rollio presence. “Half the audience knows the words better than I do,” Danny said at a recent Railway club show. And even if they don’t know the songs, audiences still get into the energy and sounds of Danny Echo. With influences drawing from the greats like The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Beatles, Radiohead, Oasis, and U2, Danny Echo reverberates with all that is melodic, all that is catchy, and all that is rock and roll. As Mark observed, "it's all that it should be, damn it!! In between rockin' out around Western Canada and playing around Vancouver, a 5 song EP has been recorded and is now available for download at dannyecho.com. The full length album is currently being written and arranged, and will be out in time for Christmas - but only if you behave yourselves, you spoiled little brats! |
