| Biography: | Trike is a duo, comprising of Stephen Taylor and Xania Keane. Stephen plays keyboard, digital guitar, trombone and sings. Xania plays fiddle, glockenspiel, keyboard, sings, dances (Irish/Quebecois style) and raps. Trike's style is Synth-pop, New Wave, with various other elements. They are audience-interactive, teaching people dance moves they make up. Their songs are catchy pop songs, high energy and dancey. Onstage, there is a great deal of theatricality and performance. Their influences are: Pulp, The Cure, Talking Heads, Devo, The Cars, Belle and Sebastian, old Public Enemy, Magnetic Fields and Joy Division. There is a lot of humour in the music, and the songs are pretty bouncy/happy, although there are also a lot of bittersweet emotions in the lyrics. Addicted to performing, Trike has played almost forty shows since the beginning of September in Vancouver and Victoria, BC, Canada. Trike also won $20,000 on "The Gong Show" (a contest which was on radio and television) with their instructive-dance song, The Trikey, which enabled them to go on tour to Europe in the Spring of 2008. Their album, "The New Album" was number six on the charts of Kootenay Coop radio for three months. |

| Biography: | Name: Chris Carder I'm the band: I sing and play acoustic guitars, harmonica Instrument: 1999 Taylor 714 CE I usually play through a Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner and a SIB Fat Drive pre-amp. Testimony: Just out of high school, I got involved in a youth group at the First Baptist Church in Smyrna, Georgia. I saw a group of kids there that loved God and really lived it out by loving one another. Their example spoke volumes to me and in the Spring I gave my life to Jesus. I have moved away from the Smyrna area, to Louisville, Kentucky, but still have great memories of those special days…while at the same time remembering that the best days lie ahead for those who trust Christ’s finished work on the cross. As I peer in the rear view mirror of my life, I can see many key times when God was sowing His Truth in me. I always believed the Christmas Story of the birth of the Savior. I never doubted the truth of a Risen Savior as the Easter story unfolded. But it was not until that February Wednesday night, after seeing a glimpse of Jesus' love through the Smyrna youth, that everything seemed to make sense and I realized I had to make a commitment with all of ‘me’ publicly and unashamedly, as Jesus did for me. When I am home: I am surrounded by beautiful women, starting with my wonderful wife, Leslie. We have been married 8 awesome years and been blessed with two girls. Elena is two years old, has a sweet heart although she can be tough as nails. Keely was born on March 27 this year and is the happiest baby I have ever seen or been around. We live in a couple of doors down from Leslie’s school, Fern Creek High. Musical Influences: Third Day, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Bill Mallonee and the Vigilantes of Love, John Cougar Mellencamp, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sting, Michael Jackson, James Taylor, Russ Taff, Johnny Cash, Dan Fogelberg, Eagles, Keith Green, and many more. Currently Reading: Been investigating again the stories of King David in I and II Samuel, Old Testament,of The Holy Bible. Also, Steve Turner’s Authorized Biography called ‘The Man Called Cash: The Love Life and Faith of an American Legend’. Passions: Jesus – The One and Only. There is none who compares to Him. My Family. I love leading worship at Missionary Conferences, whether it is Indonesia, South America, Africa….I will go anywhere God provides to encourage those who are on the front lines. Getting my new songs to the masses. Putting in my ear: Third Day: Wherever You Are, Switchfoot: Nothing is Sound, Aaron Shust: Anything Worth Saying, Passion: Everything Glorious, The Phil Wing Band: True Light. Putting in my eyes: Jeopardy, Waiting for the next season of ‘Lost’, Treasure Hunter’s, Andy Griffith, The Walton’s…yeah, I love the Grandpa and the Dad. Favorite Movies: Braveheart, It’s a Wonderful Life, The Patriot, Gladiator, October Sky. Favorite Movie Quote: Uncle Buck to his 5 year old niece’s Vice Principle: “Here's a quarter. Go downtown, and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face! Good day to you, madam.” |

| Biography: | Biography Grandpa’s stories usually involved exciting stuff like runaway teams of horses, shooting at wolves, or somebody getting body parts torn off. His tales were filled with gestures and sound effects. He really had a way of bringing them to life. And he listened when a kid told him a story. He made you feel your stories were important. From Mom and Dad I got music. My Dad and my other Grandpa were both musicians. Grandpa Hubele (of whom I knew very little) was a very good organ player. My dad played fiddle in his early years, touring around southern Alberta with a country dance band. He and Mom would, very occasionally, play duets on fiddle and piano when we were little kids. I can remember waiting til my parents went out. Since I was the oldest, I often babysat my brothers and sisters. I would sneak into Dad’s fiddle case to take out the fiddle and play it. Except I was always trying to make it sound like a guitar, and I played it like one. We moved back and forth across the country, from Ontario to Alberta and back many times as I grew up. Dad kept trading up for jobs, and I was in a new school almost every year. I became a loner and a rebel. I turned to humor to make up for my small size. I’d find the biggest kid in class, figure out how to make him laugh, and I didn’t have to worry about the rest of the bullies. It pays to have friends in high places. I believe I had an undiagnosed hearing problem caused by a trauma (now confirmed as a severe hearing loss). I never could quite understand the lyrics on the radio which was always on in our house, so I made up my own. My earliest memories were of crossing the big empty fields which made up the neighborhoods of my youth, singing at the top of my lungs and making up words as I went along. My mom says she could pick me out of the flocks of kids coming home from school. I’d be waving my arms and singing to myself as I walked across the prairie. I started writing songs in a serious way when I was 21 years old. A friend, who had been showing me how to play guitar, and I went out to live on the beach on Vancouver Island at Pacific Rim Park. I was picking away when a simple line kept repeating itself in my head. I wrote it down, and in ten minutes I had a song. It seemed to open flood gates, and for the next 2 or 3 years I wrote a song or two a week. I average about a song a month now. But, they are better songs. (over) Biography, page 2 To write successfully, I usually have to be alone, have all my chores done and time on my hands. Words and melody most often develop at the same time. It takes from 10 minutes to 1 hour to write a song. It takes me two weeks to learn it. I like to wrap a song around a good story line. They always come from my own experiences. I was fascinated with the blues from the get-go. I came in through the back door. J.J. Cale, then Hot Tuna. Then B.B. King, Freddy King, and Muddy Waters. When I heard Bonnie Raitt play slide guitar, I was gone. I had to learn how to do that. I followed her trail back to Mississippi Fred McDowell. “You want rock, you gonna have to put me in a rockin’ chair. I plays the straight and natural blues.” I also paid attention to the songwriters, my favorites being Paul Simon, Harry Nillson, Willie Dixon, and Tom Waits. My interest in jazz developed through my association with other musicians like Calgary’s late Chuck Tracy, a gruff, funny, kind of crazy lounge musician. He introduced me to Tom Waits, Mose Allison, and Fats Waller amongst others. As well, it became a habit to listen to the great Alberta radio station CKUA on Saturdays. Bill Coull’s Jazz Show was a fifteen year course in ‘Everything You Should Know About Jazz’. I also have a life-long addiction to comedy movies and comic books. One of my Dad’s jobs was as a projectionist in a small town. Once a week on Saturday night the local community hall was turned into a theatre. I was very young (3 years til 7 years old) but those old black and white 16mm movies of the Marx Bros, Chaplin, and W.C. Fields remain deep in my psyche. I think this was a great influence on my writing. Most of my songs have a little humor and a strange twist to them. I have worked as a laborer and heavy equipment operator and truck driver since leaving the University of Calgary after 4 years of unrelated courses and wandering interests. Previous to that, I had worked at the CPR as a ticket clerk. I began working at age 14 at the steel mill where my father worked. I did not graduate from high school. I have written songs for 32 years. Recording began for me in 1978 with the Acme Sausage Company with Holger Petersen broadcast on CKUA. Since then, I have been on countless radio and tv programs. I have recorded 6 albums of original material, and I just finished recording my demo for the 7th, and most exciting, CD - ‘Down In Davis Bay’. |

| Biography: | ********!!!SPECIAL ALERT FOR AFFICIENDOS!!!********** In the early 1990's SELDON nutured his talent on the North lsand with virtuoso cellist CHRISTIE STAUDHAMMER. By the late 1990's they were wowing intimate audiences around the Vancouver scene. Then continents separated them for many years. None of their music had been recorded. It had been played to the winds of the whispering forests and far flung northern beaches. It'd disappeared into the untold layers of Vancouver's buzz. Lost but for the memories of those who'd witnessed it. BUT WAIT!! On December 16th 2004 , the day before STAUDHAMMER moved forever to a place SELDON would never live, she was enticed into a secret venue in Vancouver and cello tracks to 4 of their classic songs were laid. ROGER SELDON Born and raised in South Africa and travelling the globe now for over 15 years, SELDON finally managed to stop in one place long enough to record his 1st album "THE BEAST WITHIN" in Fishhoek , Cape Town late 2003. Mastered and manufactured in Vancouver , Canada , the album was officially and globally released September 2004. SELDON on songwriting : Being a gypsy for a lot of years many of SELDON's songs have become popular at his regular low key appearances around the world. The Hibiscus Coast (see www.southernexplorer.co.za) , Plett , Cape Town; all in South Africa; and Vancouver , Nelson , Northern Vancouver Island and Kitimat in the Wild Northwest of British Columbia have been his regular stomping grounds. A few of his songs (HEAVY RAIN , DREAMCHAIN , BURDSONG , SAME GAME) have been covered by artists in some of these places (Larva Rocks , now known as DreamChain - Johannesburg , Sean Germond - Cape Town , Barbie Meyer - Margate). In late 1996/7 he joined bandmembers Liz Adams , Scott Blackley (Muzzy Pep, The Great Dividing Range) and Patrick Singh in the Whitehorse-based Yukon altpoprock band "HOOP" as bassist for their tour of the East Coast of Australia in early 1997. The last 10 years have seen SELDON splitting his time between the southern tip of Africa (music & surfing) and the Canadian West Coast (music , snowboarding and , most unfortunately , work). His sold-out and packed-out gigs at the Sundance Javabar in Campbell River and The Common Bistro on Denman Street in Vancouver , as well as a genre-defining 6 week run of shows at Rocky Ridge on The Hibiscus Coast , South Africa, in July/August/September 2005 lead to a more formalised and intense gigging/touring schedule in 2006. January 2006 saw him playing The Duncan Garage Showroom in Duncan , The Spiral Cafe in Victoria and The Common Bistro in Vancouver. A repeat tour of the southern Zululand coast with 11 sequential Friday night shows at Rocky Ridge developing into a weekly festival of Original Music with SELDON hosting many untapped and rockin' locals. Comments & questions , both musical and personal , can be sent to "THE BEAST WITHIN" by ROGER SELDON includes liner notes and lyrics. It also includes BURDSONG ("the lovesong of the decade" as judged by lovers around the world). SELDON prefers that "THE BEAST WITHIN" be played LOUD. |

| Biography: | Saturna is the rock ‘n’ roll band you want to listen to before, during, and after the party. Their debut EP …All Night serves up a tantalizing cocktail of ethereal guitars and riveting drums, tender harmonies and heart-ripping hooks. With a swirl of melody and a pulsing drift of guitar, the wordless beauty of “Springboard” launches your night. You sip a vodka tonic, and you’re off. You plunge straight into the city blasting “Pop Rocks.” The tick-tock drums and fuzzed-out Love & Rockets-style vocals spark something ferocious inside you. You finish another drink and drop your glass. You lose your friends, your money, and half your senses, but the sexy bassline keeps looping through your brain. It’s not enough. You want more. More. So the night gets nastier: “Just for Thrills” slashes you with dirty riffs. You sneer and smile, blurring through bars and parties. Streets and cars and clubs and shows. The song drags you snarling through an underworld of twisted love, but then the harmonic chorus shimmers above the rumble. For a moment you can think. Where are you? What did you just do with who? Forget it. Too late. You’ve passed the turning point and begun the long glide toward dawn with “Blanket of Stars.” Finally, in the melancholic “Chasing the Unpredictable,” you face the sun and try to figure out what it all meant. One thing is certain: you want Saturna’s …All Night again. Charismatic Ryan Carroll graces lead vocals and rhythm guitar; while Eric Block, the most unassuming rock god in America, manhandles lead guitar; and Steve Anderson, detail-crazed genius inventor, takes on drums, bass, and backup vocals. Mixing swagger and sweetness, Saturna soundtracks your whole night—from sundown to downtown to dawn. —Kirk Perry |

| Biography: | My name is scott b. and I am the Worthing. I live in San Francisco, but thanks to sites like Insomnia Radio, LastFM, and of course Myspace I have found friends and fans in places as far away Germany & Japan. I hope to find new friends/fans here as well... Thanks for stopping by. Full bio below: "In a world that's full of wholes…" So states one of the lines in the Worthing's song 'The Picture Show.' To singer/songwriter Scott Basta that line means much more than just the irony it evokes. "I write songs about acceptance... And often times accepting things for how they are is a painful process. Like existing just outside the whole of life." While the Worthing's music is rich in dark expression of emotional turmoil, upon further exploration the listener finds the songs are really more about the life within us and innocence in a world that does it's best to take it from you. Scott traveled extensively across America in his late teens and early 20's trying to find the place that he could best fit into to. "No matter where I was I always had at the very least an acoustic guitar to keep me sane. I have always felt like the odd man out in most social situations... I think my songwriting reflects that." Indeed, most of The Worthing's songs are works that anyone who has ever felt lost in life can relate to. They are songs are about dealing with a world that we truly don't understand but are doing the best we can to adapt as we move along day to day. Scott first began writing songs at an early age and ultimately ended up in San Francisco where he met other like minded individuals and formed a band called The Innocents. As often happens in the early stages of a musical group, members came and went, but all the while Scott was writing music with the same insistent sound... After a time the name of the group changed to The Worthing but the sounds remained the same. Now, with The Worthing at a full creative throttle Scott feels he just may have found a 'Whole' that he can fit into. |

I want to feature artists from all over KANSAS...My goal is to exploit the unoticed hip hop talent we have here in the Land of Oz. Until then I will remain restless. M.C. GENIUS. |

| Biography: | Biography Matt Harlan is a songwriter's songwriter. He composes scenic landscapes and pointed statements disguised as songs. Often non-linear, but always melodic, Harlan's works confront social norms, celebrate lives overlooked, or just wax poetic about coffee and bus stops. Whatever the inspiration, the music is always heartfelt and genuine. Born and raised in Texas, Harlan soaked up the richness of the state and its song-smiths while bouncing between big cities and small towns. Always in love with music, he eventually learned to play and write it. From '60s pop in kindergarten to alt-country in college and all the angst in between, Harlan draws from a range of influences, interpreting a generation steeped in plastic and filtered through the Hill Country limestone. After gigging in rock bands around San Antonio and Austin, Harlan dropped the pick and the power chords to develop his own unique fingerstyle guitar technique. Now back in Houston he is working to promote his earthy, socially conscious sound, which is continually evolving. Accomplishments In 2003 Matt Harlan won the Kerrville Folk Festival's Texas University Songwriters Competition based on the merit of his songs “Suitcase Blues,” “Warm November,” and “The Optimist.” Winning the competition allowed him to play on the Threadgill's Stage at the Festival along with other songwriters from Texas universities. The Houston Fort Bend Songwriter's Association (HFBSA) has nominated Matt Harlan's “Heavy Steel and Spinning Wheels” for their 2006 Song of the Year award. Matt Harlan was recently offered the chance to play at the legendary Anderson Fair for its songwriters showcase series. Details can be found on Matt Harlan's websites and at www.andersonfair.com. |

| Biography: | RECENT 2006 STUFF@NIGHT, BOSTON INTERVIEW! http://www.stuffatnight.com/rd0405/partying/documents/05211973.asp DJ Dale Charles started DJ'ing around 1983 at some infamous Summer Beach House parties, playing mostly New Wave including B-52's, The Romantics, Elvis Costello, Rockpile, Buzzcocks, The Beat, The Pretenders, 999, Depeche Mode, The Go-gos and Prince. New Wave was it, a funner, fresh new scene and lifestyle had emerged, the birth era of synth-dance and the 12" remix single. Connected by fate to the few important New England DJ's including Ed Fritz and Kevin Fennelly, Charles' interests grew stronger as the music grew more interesting. DJ Ed Fritz' "Baptism" and its parties in 1986-88 introduced Dale to the European and US' Techno, Industrial and House scenes. Kevin Fennellys excellent Summer Of 86 club "Level Vibes" also paved the way and inspired those who were lucky to be there. But it was DJ Ed Fritz who schools all in attendance how to mix three different styles of music on three turntables (SL-1800's) at the same tempo at the same time. This was essentially the definition of "House Music", before it was so called - and the Baptism had taken place. DJ Dale Charles was formally reborn. Then in 1987, seeing it all in action again in Montreal at Club "Business" on St Laurent changed everything. This was it. The calling was about to be answered. The East Coast residencies began in 1988 - in the small New England towns, on off nights, at first Decadence in Dover, NH, then Zoots Thursdays with Portland Maines Kris Clark. Then south to Bostons Hub Club in 1990-91, now club Felt, for a huge 1000 capacity International Night on Fridays. On to a big move way out west in the fall of 1991 to San Diego, and the birth of the legendary SoCal and US Rave movement, at first pure in all its forms, joining music lovers together to experience exciting new music, advances in lighting technology, fine-tuned sound systems, and an uninhibited gathering of all races, religions, thinkers and do-ers, perhaps not experienced since the late 60's. It was a cultural phenomenon, a time to meet new people and stay up all hours and experience new music and expressions. DJ Dale Charles was a leading SoCal DJ in 1991-92, headlining most major events with residencies at the famous MicroRaves, Narnia, Opium, Playskool, Rubber, Evar, G.U.N. and countless other one-offs. News of west coast Raves and its DJ's spread quickly across the US and Dale Charles started booking nationally, then to Mexico, Canada, Asia (sadly cancelled) and nearly every major US destination. Producing several releases since 1992 as Sedona with Benny Blanco on OHM Records, Boston, and Rampant records LA, Dale Charles has maintained a MIDI synth studio since the late 80's, producing today under the names Too (Element Recordings), Sedona and Time Beings on both Syncopate and most recently Reversible Records. DJ Dale Charles has DJ'ed with and has DEEP RESPECT for: Evar SD, Wicked SF, Primary UK, Benny Blanco, 333, Mgee, Gatherings SF, Sasha, John Digweed, Frankie Knuckles, Danny Howells, Derrick Carter, Moby, Tiga, Luc Raymond, Micheal Thomas, Tony, Paul Grogan, Barry Weaver, David Morales, Josh Wink, Anne Savage, Luv Dup, Doc Martin, Scott Hardkiss, Dominic UK, Marcus Wyatt, Dmitri from Dee-lite, Lil Louis, Frankie Bones, Adam X, Justin Johnson, Debo, Jellybean Benitez, Mark Farina, Pete Moss, Fred "kooky" Gianelli, Hector Romero, Jimmy Van M, Tin Tin, Taul Paul, Carl Cox, Rick Preston, Daeman, Mark E Quark, Jon Bishop, Thin e thin UK, Q-Bert, De La Soul, Primal Scream, Jonas Temple, Hipp-e, Armand Van Helden, Jeno, Garth, Marky, Joeski, Onionz, Ryde, Chocolate Factory NY, Felix Da Housecat, Brother Cleve, DJ Dan, Kevin Saunderson, LTJ Bukem, DJ Trixie, Misstress"... wanna come to my room and for some Kokanee...?" Barbara, Overload, Chicken Leg Crew, Caseroc, Shalako, Scott Bliss, Skye, Larry Love, Manolo, Pauloo, Deshaies, Sergio, Arturo, Mike Walsh, Pat Fontes, EB, dPl, Eli Wilkie, Steve Porter, Chris Reavey, Chris Micali, Hush & Bons, Paul Dailey, Charles Feelgood, Donald Glaude, Prima DJ and more. Currently projects include a full Time Beings Concept LP, Sound Design, Film and Advertising scoring, along with a lifetime ahead of music production. |

| Biography: | New Years Resolution came together in January of 2003, resolving, among other things, to do our dishes, stop jaywalking, and make beautiful music together. Having been active members of the Vancouver music scene in several other bands (Trail vs Russia, down the lees, Skinjobs, The Stunts, Queazy), the smart and savvy three of us were looking for an outlet to satisfy our quirky pop music appetites. We are very excited about Bullets of Love, our debut full-length independent CD, which made the top 10 of Vancouver college radio charts within the first month of release. The 11 tracks feature Dana Ayotte on Wurlitzer piano, bass, and backing vocals; LL Schultz on guitar, vocals and Casio keyboard; and Melanie Covey on drums. With influences ranging from The Cure, Death Cab for Cutie and Yo la Tengo, to Blonde Redhead and Shellac, we have a versatile and original sound. Songs are anywhere from pretty and melodic pop, to edgy post-punk or just purely danceable. Handclaps are a reliable staple of every live performance. Terminal City Weekly’s Jeff Lee says “…songs on Bullets are catchy and often quite pretty…NYR’s sound has more edge, and substantially more depth, than what you might hear on the Top Six at Six.” In the past year we have been invited to open for established touring acts such as Xiu Xiu, The Organ, The Nein, and Minus the Bear as well as headlining our own successful live shows. This year we have also completed a yet-to-be released Live at the Hive 2005 session (a compilation of live recordings commemorating the 10th anniversary of hot local studio The Hive) and participated in Vancouver’s alternative independent Music Waste Festival. We continue to conquer the West Coast with regular live shows in and near Vancouver and look forward to a video project, and touring in 2006. Not to mention getting those dishes washed. The jaywalking, however, is incurable. |
