Parade Rest began in 2007 under the name Between The Lines, with Tyler Stutz and Vito Schiralli on guitars and original drummer and bassist, Nick and The Adam respectively. Over the course of the next 11 months, Tyler and Vito searched for serious musicians to complete their band, as their constant rotating bandmates were not so dedicated. After four drummers and two bassists were disposed of over time, they eventually found Marshall Brennan and Evan Woolley for the parts, talented and dedicated, they were the holy grail in this quest for musicians.

There is a New Kid in Town...And he's Smokin' Ray Burnt. He is a Smokin' young guitarist from the highest peaks of the Smokey Mountains. He is a real throwback to the good ol' days of the Instrumental Blues. Is he the next crazy Hendrix or the younger soul of a B.B. King? Maybe.. Go on, Find Out for yourselfAnd So it Begins...Smokin' Ray was born on June 1, 1977, high on top of Smokey Mountain. His Mother and Father were both musicians ( His father played the fiddle, his mother played the accordion.) They had a decent life, poor but not without. As the story goes, Ray was struck by lightning and burnt nothing but his soul. Something came inside of him and now he is what he is. He wasn't hurt...He was just destined for something... He was destined to play the guitar. So from high upon the tree tops the first song he ever heard was the soft/heavy tone of B.B. King's, 'The Thrill is Gone'. That was like magic to his ears. The next? Jimi Hendrix, 'Red House'. 'WOW! He thought to himself, 'I have to do that'. And so he did. He studied all the greats, even as far back as the great Robert Johnson. He learned from John Lee Hooker, SRV, Leadbelly, Chuck Berry, and many others. Lightning Hopkins, 'Lonesome Dog Blues' scared him to shivers. Tucked away in a little studio he recorded by himself. No one could ever guess what would come out of there next. His tone could fall a mountain, his playing could hypnotise you. His brain...insane.Over his short span of playing I think that he really developed his own style. Is he Chicago? Maybe more Texas Style? Perhaps Modern Electric Blues? I don't know, Whatever it is, He calls it the 'Smokey Mountain Style'. Whether SRB is playing clean or dirty you can tell it's him. As you can tell from his acoustic picture and the way he plays, he likes Heavy Metal, Rock and Punk. He is very much influenced by such bands as Metallica, Megadeth, Nirvana, Green Day, AC/DC, Guns & Roses and more. But his true calling is the blues. All you have to do is hear his songs and you will be shown.Where does all this lead up to? I don't know. Maybe something new or maybe just a blip on the radar. Michael has been singing lead vocals, and playing lead guitar/keyboards in rock bands since the tender age of twelve, playing music ranging from 1950s rock and roll to full-bore thrash metal, and everything in-between. He picked up playing the guitar when he was fourteen and has been amazing audiences with his talents ever since. He began writing and recording in the mid-1990s, and has been a non-stop blur until the current day! His songs and style are inspired by artists like Nickelback, Creed, Good Charlotte, Green Day, Evanescence, Maroon 5, Nightwish, Van Halen, Asia, Boston, Def Leppard, Dream Theatre, Edenbridge, ELP, Judas Priest, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Yes, and ZZ Top.

Michael was fatally infected with FM radio that was playing constantly throughout his childhood, in the house and in the car, along with a scattering of Beach Boys 45s that he inherited from his Mother. He began playing guitar and writing songs around 14 years of age. Magazines, posters, CDs, cassettes and records were constantly scattered throughout his room, and a dream is born. Picture him sitting alone in a room playing and singing into a cassette recorder. Then, he was involved in a seemingly endless string of bands, where he cut his teeth and his unique style was germinated. Then, he moved to California in the mid-90s, following his heart and career. Over the next 15 years or so, he played and recorded with a chain of club rock bands, as well as many solo performances and recordings. Currently writing a book of poetry, based on existentialism and romantic meanderings, with a working title of “Better Late than Never.”

"Trinity" will be pre-released at the first stadium concert of the 2007 "Holy Avenger" tour on August 25th , 2007 at the "Summerfaire '07 World Peace Concert" at The Orange Show Stadium in San Bernardino, California, along with a half dozen Midwest dates in mid August! “Trinity’s” official release will be in November 2007. The full-length CD, "Holy Avenger" will see its official release on Valentine’s Day 2008, where it will be available at iTunes, eMusic, CD Baby and select retail stores around the world, along with every date and venue associated with the world tour to support this ground-breaking release!

"Day of the Rising Flag" are an Australian punk band, originating from Ballarat in Victoria, which features Jared Morel (Vocals and guitar), Aaron Thomas (Vocals and bass), Alex Thomas (Guitar), Matt Hampson (Drums). The group formed as a trio in late 2006 under the name "The Idiot Project", with Morel on vocals and guitar, Aaron Thomas on bass and Alex Thomas on drums.

=== Early Days ===
The band's first recording was done on AFL Grand Final Day 2006, when they recorded three songs which would make up their first self-titled demo, "The Idiot Project". It was taken to school on a USB memory stick and handed out to classmates. The demo was poorly recorded, and was all done on the spot. Not only was the quality and song structure poor, but the reception was poor. Most of the listeners dismissed them as another "try-hard" school band. '''The Idiot Project''' never practiced again, until late January 2007, when Morel and the Thomas brothers had another jamming session. They made up, and recorded, the song "Give Us A Reason", easily the bands most popular song to date. The simplicity of the song noticeable to anyone but the catchy four-chord riff and harmonies (which occurred during the interlude) made the song extremely popular. The 3-some decided to call themselves '''"Day of the Rising Flag"'''. The name was taken from 2 bands. Aaron Thomas's mp3 player was put on random, and the two bands that came up first would be used to create a name. Those bands were Anti-Flag and Green Day. The name (which would be shortened to DotRF) stuck, and through the use of MySpace the band began posting songs that they had recorded for people to listen to. These demo's were much better received than the Idiot Project demos.

=== Hampster's arrival ===
Originally, the band was just going to be for fun and the three were only going to record and not play live (as Alex played guitar and drums on some tracks and Aaron played bass and drums). When they began to grow in popularity, the band decided they needed a drummer. Matt "Hampster" Hampson was asked to join by Morel, an old school friend and the two had been in a band together before. Hampster who had desperately wanted to join a punk band but never had the chance to, accepted the offer, and the classic line up was born.

=== Early shows ===
The band began playing as much as they could at school (they all attended Sebastopol College except Hampson, he had left to do a course at Barklay College), during lunch times in the canteen area or in the school hall. They were usually supported by another Sebas band, Stop Staring, who Aaron played drums for. On the 4th of May, DotRF won the Sebas College Talent Quest.

===Recent History===
The last few months have been slow moving for the band, but have spawned new, more creative songs, with catchier riffs and better lyrics. The band are set to record their debut EP (after many demo recordings) very soon. Until then, check out our compilation, "Collection", which is a round-up of the best versions of our best songs thus far, and includes live and acoustic versions of some of our more popular songs.

Day of the Rising Flag

With a growing reputation as one of Vancouver's hardest working alternative hard
rock bands, Dreams of Treason comes armed and ready to rock the party. From their monumentally loud and often sold-out live performances to their ear splitting and intricate recordings, Dreams of Treason is poised to take over the hard rock scene in Canada. Teaming up with long time friend and producer Larry Anschell (Nickelback,
Pearl Jam), 2006 saw the release of the band's first full length CD, Slave's Desire; a 70's arena rock inspired affair with more than enough modern grit to bridge the generation gap.

Dreams of Treason were offered a premium showcase at New Music West 2007 in the wake of a wildly well attended Western Canadian Tour as Vancouver's own IMU Productions took notice of their aggressive work ethic and die hard rock star ways! Also
taking notice of the band's growing success was Toronto's Heroes Gone Bad Entertainment which soon joined the Dreams of Treason camp, providing the group with a set of Canadian tour dates and radio appearances (summer 2007).

With strong internet radio play supporting the acoustically driven "Everything Ordinary", Jean Larrivee Guitars USA soon offered Dreams of Treason guitarist Alex Whitcombe with an endorsement and an offer of a long term partnership.

Serving an up-tempo blend of exotic rock flavours, Dreams of Treason's debut, "Slave's Desire" screams to life with the feisty lead track "Take Me There". Power rock ballads such as "Everything Ordinary" and the psychedelic love song "Surrender" provide balance to an eclectic CD that is much more than a product of its influences (ok, ok, you just might hear a little Led Zeppelin; a little Radiohead and maybe even a dash of
Metallica sprinkled throughout, but that isn't a bid thing, is it???)

Vocalist, Chris Wright's enormous pipes showcase the sonic union of arena bravado with a cerebral lyrical style reminiscent of John Lennon, while the rhythm section of Dave Robinson (bass) and Adam Todd (drums) provide impossibly infectious grooves throughout the disc.

As founding members of the Vancouver Band Alliance, Dreams of Treason were regular guests on local reality TV show: A New Rock Reality which chronicles the life & times of Vancouver's underground rock personalities. With growing media support in the UK, Dreams of Treason have been featured on English radio show Monochrome Museum and thanks to support from DJ's Moll & John will make their debut across the pond by the new year.

It’s been a “Short And Sweet” 12 years since three barnyard hooligans known as the MCRACKINS were hatched onto the international punk scene with the release of their official debut full-length album “What Came First?” on Shredder Records in the U.S.A. Although many were at first skeptical of Vancouver, Canada’s mysterious and strange looking pop-punk trio, the 1995 album turned out to be a surprise hit from an unknown band who claimed to have been transformed from men to 2 eggs and a dog and given super pop-punk powers as the result of a freak nuclear accident. Since then, twin eggs Bil (guitar,vocals), Fil (bass) and dog Spot (drums) have continued to amaze, astound and win over music critics and fans alike while building a cult-like following around the world due to the prolific release of 11 great full-length albums,E.P’s, singles, and compilation cd’s too numerous to mention. All told over 100,000 in sales worldwide.

It is a well-known joke (or yolk if you will) that their discography reads like the rap sheet of a seasoned criminal, as they have had over 200 songs released by over 30 different record labels around the planet as approximately 70 separate releases. With sporadic touring throughout their native Canada and the U.S.A up until that point, 1996 saw the band take their hilarious and fun filled live show across the pond to Europe. Dubbed the “European Eggvasion”, the MCRACKINS destroyed 7 countries and even found time to record some live electric and acoustic sessions for the BBC. The years have also seen the band make a few music videos, which have received light to medium rotation on music channels in Canada, U.S.A and Europe, an appearance in a Molson Canadian beer television commercial, a cameo role in a feature motion picture “Downhill Willy”, and various television and radio features.

Although the band has been taking somewhat of a much-needed break from the recording studio over the last few years, they have decided to get “Back To The Crack” with a vengeance. In true MCRACKINS fashion, the band have been hard at work in the studio since October 2004 and have just finished what they have self described as a world class bubblepunk masterpiece of epic proportions. With over 14 months and countless hours invested in this opus, it promises to not disappoint. Their 12th cd which will be called “Bat Out Of Shell”, will be released worldwide later this year by the fine folks at Wynona Records, Italy and will contain 12 new ear buzzin toons with enough hooks and harmonies to make even Brian Wilson smile.
