With songs ranging from ambient folk-pop to “kiirtan” mantra music to hypnotic dancefloor, English born New Zealander, Jyoshna La Trobe is a singer/songwriter of many colours. Her lyrics are the finest of musical poems, rich with devotion and delicacy. Her distinctive, often thrilling vocals possess a transcendent quality.

Jyoshna performs these days with her band - Hummmm - which includes Pranav Bihari (percussion) and other musicians. Hummmm and Ganga Grace, an accomplished classical Bharatnatyam dancer, bring together an inspiring fusion of Jyoshna's poignant vocals and Ganga's exquisite visual interpretation of the sublime songs in an enchanting performance.

I am currently a solo artist/songwriter creating all my own music with drive and ambition to pursue my talents as a career. I have recently relocated to Vancouver from Calgary to further the opportunities to network with the industry. I am working to create an original sound and identity that will substantially differentiate me from the standard artist. Always looking to collaberate with other musicians to create a new sound!!
