About Circus of Legends
In September 1985 the PMRC released the famous "Filthy Fifteen", a list of songs they found most objectionable. Gracing the chart at number thirteen was CIRCUS OF LEGENDS. Noted, on the album is a song called "Cat Poker." It was said to be a song about gambling for cats. Although the song was clearly a typical 80s power ballad, the PMRC found it vulgar and indecent. The PMRC demanded the Record company remove it from stores at once.
Lead 5 neck guitarist Bobby Demonic defended cat lovers world wide. "I love cats, I Love cats more than you could even imagine. Probably more than any other human being on alive." he told reporters.
As Dee Snider (Vocalist of Twisted Sister) and Sir, Elton John (the old gay dude) Lead the Freedom of speech battle, CIRCUS OF LEGENDS joined the infantry. By summers end, Enis Allman, Chaz Carbide, Johnny Redbird and Bobby Demonic were arrested for Childishly vandalizing the Gore's Family Tennessee home three times, and They were arrested once for stealing the family's cat "patches". Apparently it was not harmed.
On November, 1st 1985, before the days Senate hearing ended, the RIAA agreed to put "Parental Advisory" labels on selected releases at their own discretion.
CIRCUS OF LEGENDS lead 1 neck guitarist Enis Alman soon realized the warning labels would attract buyers. The band had a warehouse full of the almost obsolete vinyl records. ."Kids want things they cant have, gosh, i think they would buy dog shit if you told them its the last one." He told reporters. From that day on all CIRCUS OF LEGENDS albums are released with the warning label, even if the album language is squeaky clean.
