| Biography: | A perfect mixture of killer guitar and synth riffs, hi-octane sound & ultimate vocal hooks. Imagine The Killers mixed with 70's glam, spiced up with Rammstein and Marilyn Manson, grooved up by Goldfrapp and topped with Depeche Mode. That being said none of the above sound like The Surgents...
THE SURGENTS is the latest movement by Dr.Octavo and The Professor. Though The Surgents are relatively very young in music years, various other projects by the two music gurus preceded the creation of this high energy motivational group, including State Of Affairs in 1995, Quantum Force in 1998 and Protocol in 2000. Protocol has enjoyed a warm welcome in the Japana market with hits such as "Surfing USA" and "Indian Love". Dr.Octavo and The Professor did take a little music biz break, concentrating on creating the next generation of music geniuses in the form of Hugo (7), Isabella (4) and Oliver (2) - their offspring have already recorded numerous tracks such as "La La La" & "Na Na Na" hitting radio airwaves and clubs later this year. Doc Oc and The Prof met in 1992, after Doc's first official Kanatian album release, "The Chains That Bind Us", by Remote Control. The Professor applied for a keyboardist position at that time but the position was already taken and hence the two encountered each other in many "battle of the bands" wars. Though musical nemeses at the beginning, they eventually learned to respect their territories and managed to combine the dark forces to attack the music biz with full power. They have together survived rise and fall of the music empire getting ready for the ultimate attack in the form of The Surgents. Frustrated with the current state and deterioration of most music parties, they have created this coalition, with a hope to provide fresh ideas and music to the ears of their peers and followers. The first single, "The Show", deals with the brainwashing of the media and gives a new strength to rise up against this malicious weapon and TV machines. More subjects are about to be discussed in the upcoming tracks, creating the necessary energy and movement to do a better job in all fields of our daily lives. Please come back on a regular basis to read and listen to the latest news on The Surgents' airwaves and press...."Let The Show Begin" !!!!
