Thanks for the suggestion. I'll need to look around and see what the Opus Player can do. I gather it is much more useful and flexible than the SoundClick player that I have used till now. I have some ideas about how I want my web site to look and behave, and I think the music needs to be presented two different ways: in its own space and also in a community space. So much to do, so little time.

The key to the contradiction of recorded improvised music is to play a lot of it and select the best. Some days, I am just practicing, and the music never becomes anything interesting, but the fingers are getting a workout. And other days jewels fall out of the sky. Also, a nice thing about recording in MIDI is that I can try risky things beyond my ability, and if I stumble or miss a note, then snip-snip and you never know it happened.
