Song Description

Lyrically this tune describes a budding 'perfect' relationship that occurs during an imperfect time. Musically it represents this conflict by superimposing a traditional jazz AABA structure over the top of the conventional Pop form (verse chorus verse chorus bridge, etc). Combined with a reggae-ish beat and a bebop Sax solo, the less than perfect timing of this romance is reflected in the off-kilter triplets 3/4 bar at the end of each chorus ("Not with me not quite yet...")
