Song Description

Another journey into the world of instrumental music. This track started out as a great bassline to write a new hip-hop track to, but it changed dramatically over the last two weeks when I spent a lot of time working on it simply because I didn't have a whole lot else to do. The dramatic change reflects a change in my mood and goals with the song, as I found some beautiful sounds in both Reason and Ableton Live that basically reminded me of my grandmother... I know I don't have ridiculously strong grasp of how a symphony would sound, but I think this is one song that she might actually appreciate. At any rate, this song is dedicated to her, and is titled in the only way I thought appropriate for a song that is both dedicated and inspired by her... Spirits Rising.

Peace

Hot beats, but ...  Hot beats, but ...

I don't think anyone can deny that your beats are crazy. Much love for it. But I don't know if I agree with the strings and the horns that start out at 0:30. I hate to say it, but I lose the connection once they kick in. I'm all for the atmospheric effects, though. Maybe some evolving pads would be in order?
