Song Description

Song about a true story I heard on the news about 5 years ago. A bullied kid had enough and pulled the trigger. I remember the old line that 'Two Wrongs don't make a right'. Then as a Christian I think how no one will have an excuse when we meet our Maker face to face. We can not say, "I would have lived for You, but I had a terrible childhood, or was abused or was born blind or________ (you fill in the blank). God has given us every opportunity to enter the gates of heaven when we die.....don't make the wrong choice, but accept the gift.

CC, i almost feel like i am your stalker ... but i am so glad you put this song up on PO ... it's killer (no pun intended ... seriously). this is a great story telling song and morality play all in just a little under 5 mins. when i first saw the title on your track list ... i thought it was kinda cliché ... but the story line, the emotions behind the song ... the lyrics and mood of the tune all work so well together IMHO. "I've got no friends and everybody puts me down, and I'm not wanted like I was in my hometown..." those words ring a bell with me ... that feeling we get as we move through the tour of the ages - which make up our individual lives... i have known fame and i have been a nobody. each one has its glory and each holds its angst. simply said, i can literally feel the frustration of the lead character in this song - the wrong being done against him was unjust - and his act of injustice in response did not solve a thing ... i love the seemingly odd conclusion you bring forth - "two wrongs will never get you home." which was what the lead in your song wanted ... to go home again where he wasn't a nobody or an object of scorn. for me, that "longing for home" is simply a universal in the human experience. as your friend and fan - i don't think i have ever told you how really deep i think this song and its implications really are ... nor how much i appreciate you putting such thoughts to song for us. thank you chris carder. peac4d. amos dettonville
