I'm with Mr Carder on this. The guitar tone is rockin off the top. And i hear plenty of Beatlese too: the major bass line licks, as well as the vocal phrasing. Nice funky groove to it too, the way the Fab Four managed to do on so many tracks seemingly before their time. (though rumour has most of those sweet feels weren't acually RINGO) It's really to have that DEAD SIMPLE repetative chorus, i think. Feel like we could all be singing along live after what....the second line? That's a POLICE trademark anyone ever notice that? interesting verses and DEAD SIMPLE CHORUSES-that stick in your sing-along head like bugs. don't stand so close to me? message in a bottle? do do do do do dah dah dah? Something of that hear with "MOVE YOUR FEET BABE" good feel good rock

Love the emotion in this song. your vocal is awesome and has an unexpected bridge that keeps you going. Sweet. Got that Beatle-like edge to it, too.
