Bid on ARCTIC's Master CD, Support WWF Canada

Submitted by arctic on Mon, 2007-08-27 15:13.

We’re also pleased to announce that on September 9 at 8:00 PM PST, bidding will begin on a master CD of ARCTIC’s new album, Today Brought Me Here. The CD is framed in a lovely blue display along with a signed note from ARCTIC lead Marcus Martin, and an original polar-bear shaped Northwest Territories license plate. The master CD is 1 of only 3 made, direct from Joao Carvalho mastering studio in Toronto, Ontario, and has a unique label, different than the production run of Today Brought Me Here. The license plate is from a truck that Marcus drove while growing up in Yellowknife.

50% of the proceeds will be donated in your name to the World Wildlife Fund Canada (WWF). The WWF helps to conserve natural habitats and wildlife, and is visibly active worldwide on issues of climate change and global warming. We frequently refer to their literature and projects in our newsletters and the News of the North section of our site, and felt that contributing to them would be a good way to thank them for their advocacy and hard work.

The other 50% goes back to ARCTIC. We are entirely independent, and do not rely on a label for support. This auction will help to offset our CD production, manufacturing and touring costs, so we can do more of what we do.

The auction will be eBay item #130147892689, and due to eBay limitations it will not be visible until start time. Bidding will end on Sunday, September 16 at 8:00pm PST.

We will ship anywhere in the world for free and will hand-deliver within Vancouver.
