Hello everyone:

Music doesn't come to me that often these days. Late last week and over the weekend, I was blessed with a couple of ideas that I'd love to share with you guys:

pride (preliminary version):
The mood to write piano stuff comes and goes for me. This one came out of no where, and it's probably the best representation of how I play (i.e. improvise) piano in real life. (Still done in FLStudio though.) I always play slow and somber. The section you hear at 1:01 and in the outro is a pretty common stylistic thing for me. Not sure what that's actually called though.

jordan (preliminary version):
Experiments are awesome. This is a super-early work in progress, so it borrows from lunatic divide on the intro and transitions aren't smooth or as well thought out as they should be. The guitar is a bit muck. The melodies aren't quite right. But it follows paranormal's lead, and mashes up a couple of genres (or in this case, three).

I'd love to hear what you guys think! Reviews or posts to this thread would be awesome.

Pride

has sent various synapses connecting in the creative part of my brain!

I'll get my people to talk to your people! Eye-wink

Jordan, although slightly off kilter also shows great potential - will be interesting to see how this develops!

early morning april 4th...

pride reminds me ... of one of my favorite little tunes ... the end song from the tv series "the incredible hulk." the song is called, "The Lonely Man Theme." one of my dear sisters used to play it for me on the piano sometimes when i would be over at her house ... a very musical family.

here's the tune (and a few more) all from that series:
The Lonely Man Theme
Show Intro I
Show Intro II

there's some interesting samples of joe harnell's songs for tv if you click around - sometimes you have to click the "see title's" like links.

i am not saying pride sounded like this song ... it just reminded me of a real favorite tune and old friendships now many miles and years apart. song play in my head all the time ... i can still hear the live version of "The Lonely Man Theme" echoing from the keys.

Jem, i am and will always be ... your fan.

if you could see (or understand) the spock symbol i am holding up ... i'm sure you'd appreciate the sentiment even more Smiling
