Why associating I CHING and MUSIC ?

Six thousand years ago, a Chinese book of divination, known as the I Ching or Book of Changes, first noted that ( hex n°16 ) " the ancient kings made music in order to honour merit and offered it with splendour to the Supreme Deity, inviting their ancestors to be present to the PRESENCE."

Because the I CHING ( the 5000-year-old Asiatic symbol language, called the Book of Changes. ) can be used as a system of harmony and rhythm mixing the 12 tones of modern western music with all sorts of INTERNATIONNAL MUSICS. The Use of the I Ching with music is like harmonizing tensions between all the différent sounds vibrations and the I Ching helps to reach on a balanced energy ...But the best use of the I Ching is to use it as a randomizing mechanism used to add a chance element to our music composition and performance....giving it thus the little '''' je ne sais quoi ''' that lacks to other musics.... Each of the eight trigrams can be characteristically interpreted in contemporary musical compositions. The musical harmony is based on the interaction between the two fundamental symbols of YIN and YANG, organized as a meditative self-healing therapy...

For exemple, a six guitar string can be easely related to the different hexagrams of the I CHING and vice versa, and the changing lines easely can be played as chords .... or else ( )
