So I was having a conversation about this with a friend. Their feeling is that if you use humour in a biography of a band, it stops people taking the music seriously. I think that it shouldn't make a difference - surely people will realise that the songs speak for themselves? And nothing puts me off a band more than when they take themselves too seriously. But I'm interested in other opinions - so let me know what you think.
