John Allaire Newsletter - July 2006\nGeneral NewsHappy Canada Day for those in the Great White (and currently swealtering hot!) North and Happy Independence Day for those south of the 49th Parallel! Word has it we\'ll be seeing our American neighbours really soon! John has secured a gig at the Midpont Music Festival (the biggest independent festival in the USA) in Cincinnati, OH in September and he\'s currently working on a string of US dates for September 2006. Stay tuned for dates as they crop up. There\'s also a rumour of a headlining Ottawa show in late August or early September before the US tour.\nPODCASTS!John Allaire\'s Podcasts are here for those of you with iPods/mp3 players, or for those who just want to listen on the computer. They consist of old and new radio interviews, archived Town Cryers\'/Mercy Miners\' stuff, occasionally a produced Podcast from John of what\'s new and exciting, what he\'s listening to, his \"Expert Panel\" junk and lots of fun fun fun. And, a bonus with John on the air during the funding drive. \nPodcast #2 is The Town Cryers (John and Jeff and a late and slightly drunk Breeze) on \"Bootcamp #20\" on CKCU-FM with Mick Kern - April 13, 1991. The Town Cryers challenged the audience to stump them on song-requests, with a hilarious \"Replacement-esk\" results. We have been receiving reports of hearing songs from Thank You Waitress on the airwaves around the world. Thanks to all who have called or e-mailed radio stations and requested the tunes! We are now posting many of the gig posters for you to download and staple on your office bulletin board.
