Mini-Tour of British Columbia! ...And Updates.

Submitted by harrisonford on Thu, 2006-07-20 22:32.

OK. So. What I'm trying to do is play some shows in B.C. in August. I'm going to be there all month working and hanging out. Here are potential destinations. I have to do kind of weekend trips because most likely the car will be needed for work during the week. So: Greater Vancouver Area, Kelowna, Kamloops, Penticton(?), Vernon(?). Does anyone have any promoter contacts for low-key venues? Coffee shops? Whatever? I'm calling the Grind in Kamloops tomorrow to see what is on the agenda for the merry month of August. Also, Lindsay and Reagan and Heather should be coming with me. Which will be amazing. For the most part I'll be staying in the Salmon Arm/Scotch Creek/Shuswap area... (We will come and party with you on your houseboat) .

Aside from that, the songs are updated and awaiting approval. The full "We're talking pirates..." album is up and a few demos that you can download free-of-charge. I'm working on some new songs. Some are pretty folkin' country. Wicked.

xo,
Ian.

"For the most part I'll be staying in the Salmon Arm/Scotch Creek/Shuswap area..." What I mean is... if you have a house boat you want me to play on or hang out with you on...

David Can't help you with the house boat but...

Give Kay a shout at the office 604 685-6418. Although she will not be the person - she knows everyone and can probably point you in the right direction for gigs in Vancouver.

I love that type writer in a new strategy. It feels like rain.

thanks for the #, David. I think I'll give a ring on Monday or thereabouts. A friend of mine, upon listening to a new strategy commented, "what? is it supposed to be a guy singing in the shower?" I'm glad you get it. ha.

Stephen Abbott Clearwater

I was just on vacation and passed through the town of Clearwater. A little over 1 hour North of Kamloops and discovered this little cafe (Flour Meadow) that features live music every Thursday nights. It looked like a cool/quaint place to play and had lots of gear in the corner on a small stage. Packing the place would probably mean 50 people - but there was also a huge grassy area outside. Not sure how they book it - Sam is the owner (250-674-3654). It's a tourist town, so you never know who will be there.
