we all went our separate ways for thanksgiving. thumbing back through my text messages, it looks like we had a good time apart. shooting guns. hockey games. lots of movies. shows.

i gave my ears a break from all the new stuff we’ve recorded. just listened to them again and was relieved that they weren’t total crap. in fact, everything still sounds like they the best recordings we’ve ever made. we’ll finish them up and have them out soon i promise. none of us like sitting on new music. i don’t know how bands on labels can handle sitting on completed records for months or years even. coordinated marketing ok ok ok maybe. but marketing to us isn’t a spin article the same week as letterman the same week as the release date; it’s someone emailing a link to a zip folder. so we’re working to get that folder up as quickly as possible. and we’re toying with ideas for a physical release and a show to tie it all together.
