I hear what you are sayign about this song, Ian. Personally I love it when a cover is totally changed up. I don't understand when entertainers do covers that sound almost the exact same as the original. If you want sleazy - in a good way ;) - you need to check out Surf Cheese by Uberbelly - a personal fav of mine.

nice work. I like the slowing down the tempo you've done. And the vocals (including the octave doubling) are nicely delivered. The midi programming on the instrumentation leaves a fair bit to be deisred, though. A tune like this where the Bassline takes such a lead role, needs live bass, or at least a more convincing sound. Ditto the drums, the programming is complex enough, but better, more live sounding drum sounds would help. Until i get more of a sense of a live band doing their thing, if feels like a great idea....that's kinda half done.
