Courtney Love Sober?

Just finished watching Courtney on Jay Leno tonight. Aside from the bad plastic surgery and botox (she's got that 'cat' with big lips look) it definately seems that she is sober for now. Lucid, funny and promoting a new book, I have to say that I'm happy that she just might be back. At her best, Courtney certainly does know how to rock. Live Through This and Celebrity Skin, in my opinion, are two amazing albums. It would be cool if she could come back and kick some more ass without being such a drugged out skank.

Well, who's to say that what made her albums good weren't Kurt's throwaway scraps? ... maybe not the part about waking up in make-up or anything (hmm). I dunno, I guess it's just that much of what she did musically seemed to hang on his coat-tails a little too much for me to get into it.

Actually, a band I was in did a pretty rippin' cover of Violet - that's a fun one.

Hopefully she does more acting. She was quite good in that Larry Flynt movie ... err, the one about him Eye-wink

Actually, didn't "Live Through This" come out before she and Kurt got entangled? I know everyone would like to cut her down like a Yoko Ono but I think her stuff stood up quite well on it's own.
Can you believe Francis Bean is now 14 years old?

I think Courtney (in a band) delivered some good stuff. She had some great moments and it couldn't have been easy to always be compared to Kurt. Hopefully she takes on more acting - it certainly suits her more now than a rebellious rocker persona, and she is decent at it.

Live Through This was out in '94 I think, not long after Kurt shot himself (she had good timing, I'll give her that) ... and considering FB is 14 now, they were very much entangled a few years prior.

But yeah, it was certainly good material - better than a lot of the pop music that was coming out in the late 90's.

I remember seeing some recent picture of Francis Bean a little while ago. She looked very much like her dad ... no 'cat w/ big lips' thing going on there yet, hehe.
