TRIPPING WEST's Biography

With hook heavy songs, stuck-in-your-head melodies, and strong female vocals, Tripping West is what great Canadian indie rock is all about. The members of this West Coast band hail from Montreal (Alex and Orlando), Vancouver ( Tricia), and St. John's (Blair), and their appeal seems to be as widespread as their geographic beginnings. In their almost three year history they've gained rave reviews from around the globe, and a dedicated following. Bodog battle of the bands (audition stage)

We have just gotten word that we will be auditioning for the next phase of Bodog's battle of the bands. For those of you that are not familiar with Bodog's battle of the bands check out http://www.bodogbattle.ca for more info. The auditions will be held from October 14th to October 16th at The Plaza club on Granville street. We have been slotted in on Tuesday October 16th.

Latest Tripping West update

Hello everyone, it's been a while since we've posted any news regarding the band, so here's an update. During the summer, Not Today reached #1 on CashBox magazines all Indie picks chart. The song hung on to the #1 spot for 3 weeks and was in the top 10 for 10 weeks.

We've also been working on some new material with Producer Vic Levak over at Hush studios. The new material is a little edgier and the production is stellar. The two new songs are called Turn Off Your Mind and Hurt Like I Do. We should be posting these new tunes, as well as re recorded versions of Not Today and Scene From Our Lives, within the next few weeks.. so keep your eyes and ears peeled for these new tunes.
