| Biography: | Wade Mosher has made music his life since he was only 12 years old. He is known for his songwriting & guitar skills and he’s also a respected producer, singer & programmer. Starting in the early ‘80’s, Wade has toured Canada, the US & Europe playing in Rock, Country, Blues, Skiffle and Punk bands. In 1995, Wade Mosher released his debut, self-titled CD that received airplay in Canada, Turkey & Arkansas. Promoting the album & touring followed until 1997. Sales have reached over 3500 thus far, mostly from word of mouth. This record has been likened to John Hiatt, Steve Earle, Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits, Warren Zevon and Lyle Lovett. Wade’s fans have been asking for recordings of his guitar playing for years, so in 2001 recording began for his next CD ‘Doesn’t Play Well With Others’. The instrumental record of 12 cuts was released in 2002. The record has gotten some great reviews & feedback. It’s been available online since 2006 and is selling well. Though Wade’s style is undeniable, nods to Danny Gatton, Brian Setzer, Mark Knopfler, Chopin, Brian May, Dick Dale & Scotty Moore can be heard throughout. As Wade humbly puts it, “I just take what those guys did, simplify the difficult parts & hope nobody notices.” In 2003 Wade disappeared into his studio to work on his latest album. A lot of life got in the way during the making of this much anticipated CD, but in 2007 ‘Everything Will Be Just Fine’ was released. It’s more of a collection of songs than a definitive album, moving seamlessly through genres without losing momentum. Songs like ‘Canadian Folk Song’ and ‘Hollywood is Burning’ are cutthroat takes on culture & politics with sardonic humor. Great stabs at love, religion and psychosis are found in ‘Love Makes You Stupid’ & ‘Lose This Skin’. ‘She’s Got A Heart’ & ‘Don’t Let The Highway Get You Lost’ are first class country songs that will take you back to the days of Merle Haggard & Steve Earle. This is a CD that will leave its mark.
Wade Mosher has never been convicted of murder, but the night is still young. Just A Personal NoteHi Folks- Wade here. Thanks for stopping by and having a listen. I appreciate your time, I know how limited it can be. There are a lot of songs here, so feel free to poke around & play snippets as you please. I’ve requested that they allow the prices of the songs to come down a bit here. We’ll see what happens. In the meantime I’ll be allowing free downloads randomly so keep an eye out. Some of the genres I’ve chosen can obviously cross over into others & it’s hard to categorize your own material, but I believe I’ve gotten close with my choices. If you hear something that turns your crank, feel free to contact me. I’m very friendly, (except early in the morning.) I’ll be keeping this section as up to date as I can. Thanks again. |

| Biography: | Ottawa, Canada-born singer/songwriter John Allaire became first know to Canadian audiences with his alt-rock band in the '80s and '90s, The Town Cryers. After spending two decades touring North America and performing alongside other international acts with The Town Cryers and other bands, John put out his first solo recording in 2003, Crime and Punishment. In 2005, John teamed up with his backing band, the Campistas, and released Thank You Waitress!, an album that went to the top of many college and university radio stations across North America and garnered a particularly large audience in Europe. PERFORMED WITH… John’s vocals have been compared to Adam Duritz (Counting Crows), Bill Janovitz (Buffalo Tom), Joe Strummer (The Clash), Bob Mould (Husker Du), Paul Westerberg (Replacements) and many others of this ilk. His songwriting echoes that of Neil Young, Paul Westerberg, Jeff Tweedy (Wilco) and Elvis Costello. For the most part, John’s songs are traditional folk-influenced stories and the solo show incorporates quick wit, banter and a direct connection with the audience. His straightforward guitar and harmonica styles are reminiscent of early coffeehouse troubadours like Dylan and Donovan. Each show is different from the last, with changing arrangements (acoustic and electric accompaniment), material choices and the stories he relates. John has shared the stage with: Alanis Morrisette, Blue Rodeo, Tragically Hip, Donovan, Lynn Miles, Hoodoo Gurus, BoDeans, Dr. and the Medics, The Church, VSpyVspy, Nada Surf, Econoline Crush, Weddings Parties Anything, Tom Cochrane, Grapes of Wrath, Nils, and many more... AWARDS That was then... Allaire toured the country with the Cryers all the while releasing their 1989 CD, "Surprise Surprise", which included a supporting video for Allaire's song "Never Bin Hurt B-4". The video won honours as top independent video in Canada in 1989. The CD also had the dubious pleasure of being the first release in Canada by an independent band on the emerging CD format. The Town Cryers parted ways in 1992, but not before recording a whopping 18-track CD called "Stanley's Cup". In 1995, John founded the alt/punk band The Mercy Miners, playing with such signed recording artists as Econoline Crush and Nada Surf. The Mercy Miners released a 10-song CD called Knuckle Sandwich in 1997. In 2003, John released his first solo effort called Crime and Punishment. The album was a 12-song collection and, while not doing much in the way of charting on radio stations, the CD sold more than 1,000 copies (admirable for an independent release), including copies numbering in the hundreds on the east coast of Canada and the USA. John's latest release "Thank You Waitress" is out now and is garnering rave reviews as his best career work. Who are the Campistas? John's band of studio and live musicians include: Jeff Tanguay, Bass, Breeze Smith - drums, Glenn Torresan - guitars, slide guitar, Tony Dunn - keyboards, sax, Valerie Daley - flute, Juan Gratton-Dominguez - horns, Tom Simpson - percussion, Zeke Smythe - drums and programming, Thomas Marsdon - cello |

| Biography: | Johnny Katchoolik is an independent musician & recording artist of many colors, personalities, sounds, and eccentricities. His sonic adventures began with the guitar but quickly progressed to include the bass, keyboard, percussion, synthesizer, various software & electronic instruments, and who knows what else Katchoolik will fancy next. Katchoolik thrives on breaking the rules, chopping up the conventional elements, inventing new concoctions, and exploring as many sonic dimensions as possible. For Katchoolik, an artist who inhales and exhales music 24/7, music is a way of life and an expression of the self. Although Katchoolik has performed with various progressive and alternative rock bands during the days of Seattle grunge, the Katchoolik of today composes and records solely in the Ghetto Sound Studio - his true playground and sanctuary, and that’s where quirky ideas and offbeat creations are surgically extracted from his cerebral cortex. Color your life with music! |

| Biography: | So, what is this 21st Century blues? This is how a bear looks on life. It is kind of a mixture of sushi made with a whole salmon and the view from the top of a tree. Sounds crazy? Well, come on, we are all allowed a little bit of lateral thinking, surely? This is a very personal project. Just one guy putting his own thoughts into music in his own way and playing everything him self; whether that is a good idea or not is probably debatable, but it kept the musical differences to a minimum! So why do it like this? Well, I have spent most of my life doing it for others. Creating soundscapes for this museum, writing music for that documentary, playing in this band, singing for that person. It has been creative, I'll give you that, but it hasn't been one hundred percent, undiluted, straight out of the forest bear. And this is. So we have a song about global warming, we have one about losing your way, we have one about a broken relationship and yet another mourning a dying pet rat. And there are others. Certainly no one else would have written this particular collection of songs, and no one else would have written and performed them this way. By definition, therefore, this collection is as unique as it is eclectic. Interestingly enough, in putting them up on myspace I have found a very large number of people who are not only very sympathetic with what I am doing, but busily doing it themselves too. With a very large range of abilities and success. I have surprised myself that I have enjoyed some absolutely dreadfully played music as much as I have enjoyed the most skillful. Why? Because it is played by people who really want to play. Who really want to say something. You know, these guys should get a chart all of their own and the pop stars can stay in their rehab clinics and fade away. So, enjoy the 21st Century. I don't know how much of it either you or I will see, but it is happening anyway. We just have to deal with it. |

| Biography: | Duane W Rutter has been writing and performing since the age of 14. A veteran of the Southern Ontario bar circuit since the age of 17, Duane stopped performing in 1996 to devote time to his family as well as take stock of where he wanted to go. He never stopped writing, recording demos and playing though and in 2005 officially got back in the game. While he remains largely unknown to the general public, among his peers his reputation as a songwriter and performer is held in high esteem. My goal is to obtain a publishing contract and I'm nearing completiong of my new CD for Busted Flat Records. As Duane's tracks are completed he will be making them available through this site as well as his myspace site which already contain a small selection of his work and have been listened to and downloaded all over the world. "As a writer, all I really want to do is get my songs out there to be enjoyed , cried over, partied to, road tripped with, whetever,by as many people as I can. Also I love hearing the stories of the people I meet at my gigs and through my websites so if we get a chance to meet some time, don't be shy....c'mon over and say hello!" |
