| Biography: | Wade Mosher has made music his life since he was only 12 years old. He is known for his songwriting & guitar skills and he’s also a respected producer, singer & programmer. Starting in the early ‘80’s, Wade has toured Canada, the US & Europe playing in Rock, Country, Blues, Skiffle and Punk bands. In 1995, Wade Mosher released his debut, self-titled CD that received airplay in Canada, Turkey & Arkansas. Promoting the album & touring followed until 1997. Sales have reached over 3500 thus far, mostly from word of mouth. This record has been likened to John Hiatt, Steve Earle, Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits, Warren Zevon and Lyle Lovett. Wade’s fans have been asking for recordings of his guitar playing for years, so in 2001 recording began for his next CD ‘Doesn’t Play Well With Others’. The instrumental record of 12 cuts was released in 2002. The record has gotten some great reviews & feedback. It’s been available online since 2006 and is selling well. Though Wade’s style is undeniable, nods to Danny Gatton, Brian Setzer, Mark Knopfler, Chopin, Brian May, Dick Dale & Scotty Moore can be heard throughout. As Wade humbly puts it, “I just take what those guys did, simplify the difficult parts & hope nobody notices.” In 2003 Wade disappeared into his studio to work on his latest album. A lot of life got in the way during the making of this much anticipated CD, but in 2007 ‘Everything Will Be Just Fine’ was released. It’s more of a collection of songs than a definitive album, moving seamlessly through genres without losing momentum. Songs like ‘Canadian Folk Song’ and ‘Hollywood is Burning’ are cutthroat takes on culture & politics with sardonic humor. Great stabs at love, religion and psychosis are found in ‘Love Makes You Stupid’ & ‘Lose This Skin’. ‘She’s Got A Heart’ & ‘Don’t Let The Highway Get You Lost’ are first class country songs that will take you back to the days of Merle Haggard & Steve Earle. This is a CD that will leave its mark.
Wade Mosher has never been convicted of murder, but the night is still young. Just A Personal NoteHi Folks- Wade here. Thanks for stopping by and having a listen. I appreciate your time, I know how limited it can be. There are a lot of songs here, so feel free to poke around & play snippets as you please. I’ve requested that they allow the prices of the songs to come down a bit here. We’ll see what happens. In the meantime I’ll be allowing free downloads randomly so keep an eye out. Some of the genres I’ve chosen can obviously cross over into others & it’s hard to categorize your own material, but I believe I’ve gotten close with my choices. If you hear something that turns your crank, feel free to contact me. I’m very friendly, (except early in the morning.) I’ll be keeping this section as up to date as I can. Thanks again. |

| Biography: | Artist Information Biography "their debut EP "Walk" contains amazing songs that easily could be featured on any release with these pop makers." (Keane and Coldplay) There came a time in early 2006 when the urge to begin writing and recording seemed to well up inside Sean once again. He began writing songs within hours and recording them the next day and after amassing 15 good sounding demo's within 3 months where he narrowed it down to 5. This is when he reached out to friends ask them to play on what he now terms "a good songwriting demo." to come and play on this project. These friends included guitar player Bob Egan - Wilco, and Blue Rodeo. Tony Lind- Hewitt, and former guitarist for Thousand Foot Krutch. Drummer-Jim Boudreau whose resume includes The Wilkinsons, David Foster, Chuck Berry, and countless others. Steve Hogg, acclaimed bassist who played with Ian Thomas, Jamie Warren, and is a regular session player for Juno winning producer J. Richard Hutt. This gave Sean a very solid sounding EP, well sculptured and very well produced. Now, all Sean needed was the live band. Again, a call went out to friends who knew people who knew people and the emails started to come in. One by one Sean met with each of the candidates turning some away and latching on to others telling them that they're in, never once did he ask to hear them play. The only thing he went on was word of mouth, gut feeling, and a prayer. Together, they have taken the Seans songs to another level far beyond even Sean's expectations to create a live show that has brought the crowds to their feet for standing ovations. This eclectic group of guys who's style and influence range from jazz to power punk have found one vision, one dream, one band that they all believe in. They are... "THE WEAK NEED" A high energy pop act being regularly compared to such bands as Keane, Coldplay, Mute Math, Pilot Speed and U2. Their emotive delivery at their live shows has their fans saying that they were "blown away" and "speechless" afterwards. "They are like the Coldplay of Canada." Sean himself is quoted as saying "I love Keane and Coldplay. I really like their sound but honestly, I don't listen to them alot of the time because I don't want to start writing like they do. I'm totally influenced by their sound but I really try to take it somewhere totally different." Different indeed. It is easy to hear bands like The Cure, The Smiths, U2, and Canadian favorites, Pilot Speed, and Never Ending White Lights washing through The Weak Need as the listener is bathed in Croley's unique intimate vocals, textured harmonies and intricately woven lyrics. Here is what industry and fans are saying about The Weak Need: "The Weak Need is favourite band in my iTunes library (15.000 songs) " - Benjamin T. "emotive, memorable writing and tasteful, very impressive production! " Vlad Shusterman "...very cool sounds. You're professionals...Maybe the new Cold Play " - 100 Ilusoes "Cold Play... I think that's a great comparison, but you still manage to have an original sound.. " - J. Spengler "Every once and awhile you stumble across a band that gives you goose bumps and no pun intended but I feel ya! " - Jill "Your songs are great! You have to get a band together and start playing...people need to hear your music live. " - The Entropy "Really lovely chorus in lay me down "One Word....Amazing!!! " - Cool Planet Entertainment "Todays world, people will do anything to "FEEL" You've done that ..." - Nathan "Great song and impressed by your voice...breath of fresh air" - Raine "I just truly wanted to share with you what a powerful experience it was for both of us. We were not at all familiar with your music before last night, but it left a huge imprint on both of our hearts. Thank you for your courage in pursuing this dream. " - Lisa. |

| Biography: | Jake Waidelich has been writing and recording songs since 1990. Prefering to usually create songs with acoustic guitar and then layering with electric and bass, sometimes keyboards and other psychedelic embellishments. In the mid 90's Jake actually stopped playing with himself for awhile and was co-songwriter, guitarist, and backing vocalist for the band SOOT which played many parties and a coffee shop in Old Town Lansing MI. After our main vocalist left for better things then we tried to keep it together as 80 Cubic Inches for a year or so. This didn't develop into much and we never refound the magic that once was. I still remember the dreams that we once shared and 'what could have been'... you can visit my myspace... http://www.myspace.com/jakewaidelich |

| Biography: | It started on a Sunday in 1981, in Budapest, Hungary. Then nothing much happened for 16 years, when, hit by the peaking britpop hysteria, I decided that I want to play the guitar. The first band I joined - founded together with classmates, of course - didn't even have a name, and lasted for about 4 rehearsal sessions. The second one - later to be known as Bob Detroit (http://www.myspace.com/bobdetroit) - is proving much more resilient, although it is currently somewhat hybernated, with myself staying in Finland and the rest of the band in Hungary. These songs - I know there's only one - update: TWO - so far, but others are coming - were recorded in a living room, using a Linux-powered laptop. I hope you'll like them. newport @ freemail . hu |

| Biography: | Tim and Dave , close childhood friends, grew up in Victoria and then moved to Vancouver to pursue music. To make ends meet we began to work in the film industry as lighting technicians. I also picked up some minor acting roles. We got to work with the likes of Robin Williams, Robert de Niro, Al Pacino, and even my favorites Ringo Starr and Jack Nicholson. During this time I gained the experience of lighting rock videos (one of which went to number one on Much Music). Anyway, because of this we were able to buy recording gear and teach ourselves the art of recording music. In the process of recording we were robbed of most of our recording equipment. We worked to replace the gear and eventually produced this C D, Never Leave it Too Late, by Mojo Filter. Can you dig it? We now have written over 100 songs. a lot of our new material is even more centered on the vocals and harmonies. We are currently producing a video for Sunset Blvd. We started this while in Los Angeles, shooting scenes along Sunset Boulevard. Completing the principal photography in Vancouver on 35 mm film. We are now collecting our nickels to develop the film and edit the video. Thanks for listening, Tim Heller (Vocals and Guitar) |

| Biography: | Saturday, February 23, 2008 Album Review: Antiqcool -'Songs Of Hope And Despair' (Sicknote Records) This is Antiqcool's second release, the follow-up to 2007's Digging For Gold. Who Antiqcool are is a mystery, neither the sleeve nor their MySpace suggest as to whether it is a one-man project or a band, the sleeves mention Pete but that is all. It is hard to know where they are based, though I'm guessing the north of England. And what of the music? The sticker on front of the CD reads 'THe Police arrest Fleetwood Mac defended by Crosby, Stills and Nash in Simon and Garfunkel's Crowded House.' This is quite an accurate description; there are no kriss-krossing guitars here, nor apocalyptic beats or howling demonic exhortions to burn in hell. Still reading? Good. This thirteen track collection of songs is a gorgeous, initiallly slight but more and more enticing and addictive with each listen. This is truly independent music, not because it has guitars on it, or isn't on a major label, but is genuinely music that exists for its own sake, out of time, and all the better for it. I've played it several times since it arrived in the post several days ago, and not only do I enjoy it more with every listen, but Mrs. 17 Seconds is also enjoying it too. If there is one thing that detracts from this album for me, it's that while the album is pretty sublime, the record appears to have been produced so carefully that you start to miss the absence of a few rough edges that might actually add even more to this record. No matter. I've been enjoying listening to this, and I think come the summer it will be on the stereo even more frequently. ..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..> ..> Antiqcool CD Review http://bristolrock.co.uk/ By Moose Two full length CD's to review here, 2007's Digging For Gold, and the brand new release Songs Of Hope And Despair. The guitars drift into Dave Gilmore territory on more than one occasion, while there are a couple of tracks on which Andy Summers-esq arpeggio type runs pop out as well - and that's before the Police-like reggae of Getting On Back To You kicks in. The material has a very personal feel, with themes generally having a very uplifting quality to them, if perhaps lacking a little in the "excitement" department. Songs Of Hope And Despair shifts the focus slightly to the vocals, with a more pronounced harmony to most of the lead parts. There's definitely a Beach Boys influence in there somewhere - especially on Vows Were Made Of Glass, with a couple of the backing vocal arrangements reminding me of Good Vibrations, but again minus the excitement or energy the boys from the West Coast of the USA managed to produce. The Mamas & The Papas increasingly popped into my head too - you know, California Dreaming?? Pearl has a slightly more modern pop feel to it, while I'm Getting Love also departs slightly from the nearly horizontal laid back stuff that makes up the majority of the 13 songs on offer. At the end of an extended listen I'm left kinda feeling that the main Antiqcool man Pete could do with a couple of not quite like minded muso's to collaborate with - someone that could inject a touch of variation to the material, and perhaps a shift of gear or two now and again. Don't get me wrong, there's some quality writing going on here, and the performance and recording can't be faulted either. It just all feels a bit too self indulgent, which I know probably sounds more of a criticism than I'm really intending. | Biography: | An autonomous collective of unsurpassed musical genius, Groovy Julia has appeared in many incarnations over the years. From acoustic buskers to formless jazz combo to horn-driven R’n’B outfit to roots rock ruffians, Groovy Julia has played to thousands, even entertaining some. Although some have said that Groovy Julia is the kind of band that gives rock a bad name, it’s an extreme characterization that isn’t entirely true. Best known for their hits… well… best known for their legendary… umm… best known for generally arriving at gigs on time, Groovy Julia continues to carry on in the tradition of The Who, in that they don’t know when it’s time to give up. Building momentum on sales numbering in the tens of their seminal opus, “Cry Like a Man,” the GJs play live sporadically, record occasionally and always rock with the best of intentions. WHAT THE CRITICS SAID “Groovy Julia – A band best served cold.” “The sound of jackhammers smashing up the sidewalk outside my apartment was more pleasant.” “Turn the volume down – way down - and wait for the enhanced DVD retrospective of these pretty boy gadflies.” “We want them for the next swimsuit issue.” “They’re nothing but a disagreeable mélange of syrupy treacle and discordant din. But with a doily here, some potpourri there and a few scented candles, they’d be a welcome addition at your next festive occasion. And that’s a good thing.” |

| Biography: | With life spinning out of control on tour in the UK as "The Ryecatchers," Danny and Mark decided it was time for a change… Returning to Vancouver, Danny bumped into an old flame, Shannon, and after a few drinks she decided she would rather be in a band than a relationship with him. Danny reluctantly agreed, phoned Mark, and formed Danny Echo in the fall of 2005! Since then the Vancouver music scene has embraced the incredible vibe of Danny Echos’ rock and rollio presence. “Half the audience knows the words better than I do,” Danny said at a recent Railway club show. And even if they don’t know the songs, audiences still get into the energy and sounds of Danny Echo. With influences drawing from the greats like The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Beatles, Radiohead, Oasis, and U2, Danny Echo reverberates with all that is melodic, all that is catchy, and all that is rock and roll. As Mark observed, "it's all that it should be, damn it!! In between rockin' out around Western Canada and playing around Vancouver, a 5 song EP has been recorded and is now available for download at dannyecho.com. The full length album is currently being written and arranged, and will be out in time for Christmas - but only if you behave yourselves, you spoiled little brats! |

| Biography: | Chiwawa is Laurie Gordon and Krassy Halatchev. The duo's approach can be described as neo punk disco pop rock with elements of "that sounds familiar" (but it's not)- CHIWAWA are the real Eurotrash (or is that EuroThrash?) claiming refugee status moons ago - a Bulgarian Hungarian combo. CHIWAWA play bass, vox, guitars, synths and other eclectic instruments creating heavy grooves and luscious melodies. All the while, Laurie croons the crooner's tune. On stage, CHIWAWA electrify as two and sometimes multiply into four or more bodies dabbling with electronic knobs, a drum kit, or solo violin. |

| Biography: | "SKOOKUM is a riff-rock PARTY! Hilarious anecdotes are regaled with engaging songs delivered by strong vocals, solid grooves, and a wall of sound that brings an audience to its feet!" In the beginning there was a catastrophic boom … and, without the use of an epidural, SKOOKUM was born. Out of the depths of a deep forested bush lumbered this monstrous behemoth of rawk! It had a thunderous bottom end and the animals gathered ‘round to hear its driving beats and infectious rhythms. This indescribable beast could only be known as SKOOKUM! This was NO serious matter though, as the dreaded SKOOKUM would take to heavy fits of laughter, nocturnal musings and doses of a strange forest tea brewed from alder berries and rootmarm. Yet, you could always be sure that as it reared its big hairy head, you would be raising your fist to the air in an all out heavy rawkin’ salute. An awesome creature . . . SKOOKUM sounds like no other! Oh yeah... and there’s these four guys who like to play infectious riff heavy rock. So, in the end… There's no denying it… they’re big and they rawk, they sound SKOOKUM! | Biography: | Formed in early 2002, Vancouver's Azimyth is Corey Hawkins (guitar/vocals), Arlen Chudley (drummer/percussion) and Rory Chudley (bass). Their myriad of musical backgrounds and influences has skillfully coalesced into this surprisingly mature, heavy-hitting, post-grunge trio of young Canadian lads. The focal point of Azimyth is self-taught curiosity, Corey Hawkins employing tremendous singing and songwriting talent and years of rock'n roll experience. Asked for influences, Hawkins lists Nirvana, Pixies, SLipknot, Buddy Guy, Duran Duran, INXS and the Beatles, finally describing Azimyth as "pop-metal". Azimyth is indeed an approachable, if noisy, entity. Hawkins' grinding guitar genius paves the way for diversified vocals - at times soft and brooding hums, other times rich, resonant screams. Brothers Rory & Arlen's dynamic chemistry combined with their eccentric personalities spawn a unique and energizing musical foundation, which complement perfectly with Corey's emotionally persuasive art. Also introducing Julien Giraud as Azimyth's second guitar arsenal. An amazing player of 15 years Julien handles the guitar like none other. Forming fast paced solos with his eclectic style he completes Azimyth by building up a solid wall of guitar while playing live or in the Studio. Azimyth is undeniably active in the West Coast music scene, performing live at countless local venues. Their electrifying live performances are not to be missed, setting stages ablaze throughout Vancouver; such as their notorious show for radio station 99.3 The Fox and their Santa Fox Food Drive. Hawkins' heartfelt songwriting appeals to a wide audience, as made apparent by a devoted local fan base ever thirsty for their crunchy post-grunge new wave rock. |

| Biography: | The term "justmegan" plain and simply began as a stage name that was used to represent an 18 year old girl, Megan Carlson, a singer/songwriter from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. This name has remarkably evolved from a one-woman-band to a tight, rock and blues group, with each member offering an essential, irreplaceable talent. You might ponder, "is that a typo?" No! You have read correctly. "justmegan," all lowercase letters and one word, to boot, is completely deliberate. What started as a clear indication of a young woman establishing herself in the musical world, has grown into a close-knit group of musicians completely using their individual talents to accentuate her original songs. Together, they have created a very unique sound that blends blues, rock, and indie music with influences from various other genres to become quite the musical force. The name was originally intended, "Just Megan." to be certain people would know there was, in fact, just Megan: her guitar, her vocals, and her raw implausible gift for writing deep, melodic songs of well beyond her years. Her paradigms were entirely shifted, as her hopes of having a full band to support her music had finally come to pass. "I love to create independently. But, by no means am I the lime-lighter type. I firmly believe that as an artist, you have to be willing to be a team player and work together and compromise. You can't do it all on your own. When that begins, sadly, it's reflected in your music. They don't say two heads are better than one for nothing!" Carlson chuckles. "Besides, there's no feeling better than other musicians wanting to play TO you! It's easy to go strictly acoustic all the time," she articulates. In June of 2006, the band released their first album as a unit, Blue Avenue, gaining a whole new entourage of fans and radio stations, as well as a well-known author from Alabama, "Quillan." "[The album] is a well "put-together" project [with] excellent music, well written lyrics, and good photo work. I highly recommend it," he raves. In addition to writing and performing inimitable tunes for all types of listeners, the band is extremely passionate towards using music to benefit assorted organizations. In the past, a track off their debut album was featured on a compilation disc to benefit cancer research. Most currently, the band is working with Illumina Records. Their latest endeavor was participating in a "Rockers for Life" campaign to promote drunk driving awareness. As if this now 22 year old front woman for "justmegan" isn't busy enough with creating music, she is a recent college graduate teaching elementary students, in addition to creating digital art for an accomplished author, while continuing to photograph as a side hobby. Her vocals have been compared to those of Pat Benatar, Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac, Tracy Chapman, Chrissy Hynde of the Pretenders, Blondie, Joan Jett, Jewel, Ani Difranco, Lisa Marie Presley, and most recently, Aimee Mann. Currently, the band has just released their second album, I Get What I Want, and their music is being played on over 100 FM radio stations, as well as numerous Internet stations, podcasts, and XM/Satellite radio. For more information, or to hear sample tracks, visit www.justmegan.net or check out their myspace site at www.myspace.com/justmeganmusic.
