| Biography: | While still in his early twenties, Tim Jagger’s musical aspirations have stretched over a decade. From learning classical music on the piano and flute, to his father’s influences of classical and Latin guitar, Tim developed a passion for music and a talent for composing at a young age. Interest in electronic music as a young teenager set him up for falling in love with hip hop when he first heard Big Punisher played in a grade 10 English class studying various forms of poetry. As a young storyteller, Tim started to translate his fictional stories into songs with beats he made in his home studio. Moving to BC from Ontario at age 17 introduced him to a whole new style of hip hop and he quickly developed a group of friends with similar talents in urban music. Performing with his posse and on his own, Tim found himself in a range of venues from full arenas to small clubs. Whether he was opening for acts from the States or as the headliner, Tim’s passion for rapping has always translated into connection with his audience and an energetic performance. As a perfectionist and self-motivated artist, Tim has already completed his first album released in March 2004. Tim has been recording with his producer Ben Cividino of Madhouse Studios for the past two years and has simultaneously been recording in his home studio transferring the lessons he has learned at Madhouse to his independent work. With 7 songs completed for his next album Tim is ardently creating new beats and lyrics, endeavoring to bring positive messages to the urban marketplace. “While the world of hip hop often tells stories of the crazy things that happen on the street for a lot of kids, I want to let them know that there’s more to life than revenge and greed. I’m not much of a philosopher, but I do believe that positive attitudes and words can change people’s perspectives for the better.” |

| Biography: | Mike's first performance of note was when he sang the Irish Rovers' "Wasn't That a Party" for the United Church minister in his hometown of Florenceville, New Brunswick. The concept of reading the crowd was apparently lost on the three-year-old Mike. Twenty-odd years later, Mike still has a strong connection with the back roads of Carleton County, New Brunswick. His early influences (Bob Dylan, Kris Kristofferson, John Denver and Blue Rodeo) have combined with his later musical encounters (Jazzberry Ram, Sting, Stevie Wonder and Colin Hay) to create his own blend of pop, folk and funk which is educated but never pretentious, and introspective but never self indulgent. Mike's lyrics often draw inspiration from the literary giants he has studied all his life, but they just as often spring from personal experiences of friendship, love, and loss. Mike arrived in Sackville, New Brunswick in 1996 and quickly established himself as an integral part of the music scene at Mount Allison University. He became a favorite at campus coffee houses and late-night residence sing-alongs, and was soon asked to host the town's weekly open mic' night at a local pub. After earning the chance to represent Mount Allison at the Atlantic Universities' "Campus Sound Explosion" (a competition won the following year by an early incantation of The Trews), Mike teamed up with accomplished Halifax artist/producer Jon Epworth (of The Dean Malenkos) to cut his first CD in the spring of 1999. Entitled "Union_44" (after the house it was recorded in), its 10 tracks were recorded in a single evening on an analog 8-track recorder. This debut album went on to sell several hundred copies on the Mount Allison campus, and many tracks from that CD continue to make appearances in Mike's live shows and on campus radio programming across Canada. Mike left Mount Allison in May of 2000 and moved to Acadia University, where he completed a Masters Degree in English. While writing and performing at Acadia, Mike was afforded the opportunity to work with producer/deejay Robb Lepper (Greg Muttart: Live at Jacks) and musician/engineer extraorinaire Jude Pelley (Exit 13). He also appeared on the university's "Constellation" compilation, and recorded a track for the first-ever "Conduct Becoming: Voices Against Cancer" CD, a project that in many ways was created as a result of Mike's music. Conduct Becoming has gone on to release five successful albums, the latest of which was produced by Mike himself. Mike has been a professional entertainer for the past six years. He has written award-winning plays, appeared as a finalist on Canadian Idol, and shared the stage with such artists as Matt Andersen, J.F. Coley, Isaac, Blewett and Cooper, Kalen Porter, Ashley MacIsaac, and The Rheostatics. Most of his on-stage work has been been with the various dinner theatre companies across the Maritimes, where he has been a writer and director and also a performer, appearing in thirteen shows and over five hundred performances. His career in dinner theatre has allowed him to work closely with actor/musician M.J. Ross (The Jive Kings, Mike Ross: The Dennis Lee Project) who he credits as a great influence and teacher. Now having retired as a dinner theatre performer, Mike has returned his focus to his own music. Recently Mike has been traveling more extensively to spread his music. In July of 2004, he headlined the first-ever "Concert on the Lake" at the Ontario Regional Shinerama Conference, and two weeks later he stole the show at the University of Toronto's "Summerfest' event. In March of 2005, Mike returned to Toronto for the first shows of what would become an immensely successful five-province tour for the Shinerama cause (Canada's largest student fundraiser), supporting the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. His latest album, ...things that move us was released in January of 2006. |

| Biography: | Safe As Houses, the 2nd release from Vancouver's math majors, is an avant-punk "Dark Side Of The Moon". Featuring members of The Red Light Sting, Closed Caption Radio, Portico, and Donkey Engine, the supergroup takes rock into an unconventional realm, creating moody recorded works driven with an innovative use of dynamics. | Biography: | If you have been waiting for a sound that is innovative and eclectic (it’s soulful… it's jazzy...it's bluesy...it’s funky…), yet savvy enough to ride the waves of popular radio, look no further. This is a dynamic artist in touch with modern culture and carrying a message that is impacting those who encounter it. The soulful sound of singer/songwriter/musician Greg Sczebel (“suh-bell”) is steadily capturing the attention of a wide range of music enthusiasts. From the moment you first hear the rhythms of his piano you will be intrigued. His talent is obvious...but then the vocals glide onto the scene and you see that there is more to this artist than just a good beat. His lyrics are intelligent, showing a mature depth, and he doesn’t sacrifice the musicality for catchy hooks. Greg is passionately committed to making good music. And it's obvious others are catching on. He has been recognized for his outstanding talent as an artist, having been honored with many remarkable opportunities and awards. He has shared the stage with a variety of the entertainment industries’ top performers, including Grammy Award-Winning Producer, David Foster, jazz crooner, Michael Bublé, 6–time Juno Award Winner, Colin James - as well as Casting Crowns, Jars of Clay, Leigh Nash (of Sixpence None the Richer), Bebo Norman, Carolyn Arends, Out of Eden, Shawn McDonald and more. The end of 2004 brought Sczebel a Canadian Urban Music Award nomination, four CGMA (Covenant Award) nominations, and ultimately two CGMA awards (‘Male Vocalist of the Year’ and ‘Rap/Hip-Hop/Dance Song of the Year’), as well as an Okanagan Musician Award for ‘Gospel Artist of the Year’ for the second year in a row. In 2005 Sczebel continued to gain momentum by picking up a JUNO AWARD (Canada’s Grammy©) for his debut album “Here to Stay” in the category of ‘Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year.’ Shortly after, Sczebel was nominated for a grand total of five Shai (“shay”) Awards (Canada’s Gospel Music People’s Choice Awards) – ultimately taking home 3 of these - ‘Pop/Contemporary Album,’ ‘Urban/Soul Album’ and ‘Song of the Year’ for his single “In the Pocket”. In addition, Sczebel was a grand prize–winner in the international 2004 John Lennon Songwriting Competition, for his title track, “Here to Stay” and more recently was a finalist in the R & B category for the 2005 John Lennon Songwriting Competition for his song “You’ve Got It”. At the close of 2005 Greg was also privileged to sign exclusive endorsement deals with both Audix Microphones and Yamaha USA Pianos & Keyboards. And this is just the beginning of what is quickly becoming a well-established music career. But in spite of the acclaim, Sczebel still finds the most value in the personal connection between music fans and his songs. "To be validated by the awards and opportunities is always encouraging. The most exciting thing though, is hearing that my music is connecting with people. If I can continue creating music that impacts those who listen to it, I'd love to still be doing this 40 years from now." If the present is any indication to the future, Greg Sczebel is well on his way to reaching his goal. | Biography: | Motion Soundtrack was formed in early 2000 as an outlet for four like-minded musicians, and has since evolved into one of Canada's finest Alternative Pop groups. Often described as atmospheric with driving energy and catchy melodies, Motion Soundtrack has garnered much success and attention from the music industry and music lovers alike. Motion Soundtrack's 2004 Cazart!/Universal release, "The Bridge", has received much critical acclaim. The group's infectious tunes and dynamic musicianship have been compared to bands such as Travis, Radiohead, Oasis, and The Stereophonics, but Motion Soundtrack has a sound all its own. From beautiful love songs, like 'I Get Lost' (the video is currently on rotation on MuchMusic and MuchMoreMusic), to driving anthems like 'Knockin' (MuchMusic and MTV Canada gave the video strong airplay and the song was on Much Music's 'Going The Distance' soundtrack), "The Bridge" has truly been a key phase in this bands journey. Motion Soundtrack is still moving fast. Having opened for bands like The Stereophonics and Idlewild, their live sound has been described by fans and industry as one of the best in Canada. The band is currently composing a new record that they will begin recording in the fall of 2005, after summer touring. Motion Soundtrack is positioning themselves as one of the best acts to keep your eye on. |

| Biography: | The story of Kiros first started on November 7th 1983 at 2:37pm when Barry Mackichan(Bass/Vocals) was born. Only hours later in the same hospital at 7:11pm, Justen Gordon(Drums) came into the World. Skip ahead 16 years to the year 2000 where Barry and Justen ran into each other and found that they shared the same passion for music as well as the same birthday. It wasn't long before the two started writing music together and eventually came across Ryan Guerra who decided to pick up a guitar and join them in the writing process. All three of them together really connected musically and started playing punk rock shows on weekends while attending high school during the week. By this point it was time to think up a name for the band, and "Kiros" was selected due to the meaning behind the name which is, "A Moment of Divine Time." Come 2002, Kiros were already headlining shows in their hometown of Calgary, and decided to take their show on the road to help promote their newly recorded indie album "Counterproductive." Kiros ended up buying a small trailer that could be attached to Barry's Ford Explorer and traveled all over Western Canada and jumped on a mini tour with Slick Shoes. After being on the road for countless shows, Kiros came back home to Calgary and decided to shoot a music video for the title track "Counterproductive." The video was shot over two days, the first was getting footage from a live Kiros concert at MacEwan Hall where over 800 people were in attendance, and the second half was shot all over downtown Calgary. The video ended up getting into rotation on Much Loud and MTV2 and also scored Kiros a slot and interview on the Much Does Calgary special. By 2004 Kiros were back in the studio recording their "Fight The Night EP" which was released Nationally through HMV in Canada on June 1st 2004. To support the release Kiros set out on their first ever cross Canada tour as part of the Drive Thru Canadian Invasion Tour alongside the band Allister from Chicago. Kiros continued on to headline their own shows across Canada and jumped on all five of the Canadian Warped Tour dates in 2004. Come September, Kiros teamed up with a company called Absolute and went out once again across Canada on a public high school tour in which they performed as part of an assembly each day. By the end of 2004 Kiros had performed to over 100,000 people in Canada alone and had been on tour for 234 days in a row. In 2005 Kiros took a few months to stay in Calgary and write new songs as they continued to play sold out shows and mini tours all over Western Canada. For two weeks in April the band drove out to Vancouver to lay down tracks for their new songs. In true Kiros style, their recording time ended on April 24th, and their tour started on April 25th. Their next tour will take them all the way out to the Atlantic Ocean and back through Eastern Canada at which time Kiros will join up with the Vans Warped Tour for the entire summer. We can expect a new album sampler out this summer to bridge the gap to their highly anticipated full length which will be released sometime in 2006. |

| Biography: | Matt Layzell Lead Vocals “These guys show an energy and drive most rock bands can’t muster.” “Ten Ways From Sunday is an indie band that gets it. Great guys with dedication and amazing persistence! They have the drive and determination to get noticed and the talent to back it up. They are about to embark on a World Domination Tour.” “Ten Ways From Sunday has got it all - they write great songs, their live show is terrific, and they're super-pros all the way. I can't seem to get their songs outta my head.” Vancouver-based Ten Ways From Sunday is a band that revels in the long-standing tradition of epic, old school arena rock. In fact, this five-piece would surely make the editors of Creem Magazine or Rolling Stone circa 1975 wet with anticipation. Driven by a relentless need to change the soundscape of the music industry, Ten Ways From Sunday writes and performs without limitation. True to their word, this band rocks its fans to dizzying highs and implausible depths. Frontman Matt Layzell embellishes each and every song with intense and deeply personal lyrics that accent the high voltage energy put forth by fellow band mates. Guitarist Dave Young intertwines creative and often intricate parts to fill out bassist Mike Young’s powerful and melodic lines, while drummer Trav Robson supports it all with a steady yet laid back style. Together, they create a sound that is intensely dynamic and inspiring, both musically and lyrically. “There’s something in the freedom of stadium rock that speaks to all of us,” explains Layzell. “I think we like the fact that with this genre of music we aren’t constrained to a typical song structure and we’re free to experiment with whatever feels right. The appeal is in the flexibility – you listen to a band like Led Zeppelin and they’ve got blues in one song, straight ahead rock in another, and jazz elements in the next. “We like the diversity it allows us, we don’t want every one of our songs to sound just like the other.” And they don’t. But they still sound like Ten Ways From Sunday. This attitude – or lack thereof – accurately reflects the dedication Ten Ways From Sunday pour into their music, and the devotion to their fan base. It’s no wonder that these five friends are making a huge impact on the modern-rock scene wherever they play – be it on national television or in their favourite live venue at home in Vancouver. And the band’s hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed. Their first single “You’ve Been Around” was licensed for EA Sports NHL 2004 video game, they have been featured on some of Canada’s most progressive modern rock stations, and they performed last year on CBC’s Great Canadian Music Dream, giving this indie group strong legs to stand on. Incidentally – the name Ten Ways From Sunday emerged from a ‘heated conversation’ between vocalist Matt Layzell and a drinking buddy. Feuding over the results of a recent hockey game, the companion threatened to kick Matt’s ass “ten ways from Sunday.” With phrase in hand they approached the other members of the group and sealed their fate. With its first commercial release “What I Wanted,” the band has earned appreciative support from coast to coast. Recorded at Vancouver’s famed Greenhouse Studios and mastered by Tom Baker (STP, NIN, Deftones) the debut EP showcases the diversity of their musical aspirations. Often compared with the likes of Stone Temple Pilots and Incubus, Ten Ways From Sunday continues to evolve as brothers Mike and Dave Young bring new influences since touring alongside world-renowned artist Devin Townsend (Strapping Young Lad). Currently, Ten Ways From Sunday is promoting a follow-up self-titled EP recorded at the Armoury Studios in Vancouver with Devin Townsend as producer. The new CD showcases 7 new songs that further demonstrate Ten Ways From Sunday growing ability to create diverse and passionate music. It is clear that this is a band that has found itself artistically and is ready to blow up. Watch for Ten Ways From Sunday to be touring in support of the new CD through 2006. |
