Does anyone else have trouble getting plays ?!?!?!

Hey! This might be a little stupid but I am looking at these numbers under the stats and it seems that the music is barely even being played! I am featured on the main page under "Hot Downloads" too ! Does anyone get any real plays on here? I love the service and everything it offers but is the way the music is... available and marketed to the listener effective at all? I am not complaining at all and I LOVE PO but it was just something I was wondering because it stood out to me... anyone got any ideas on getting more traffic through their music page on here? THANX

What do you think of when you think of your ideal music community? (Only one-to-three word answers, please!)

- Simple.

- Authentic.

- Honest.

- Free.

- Useful.

- Fun.

- Easy.

- Pure.

- Humble.

- Supporting.

- Reliable.

Pricing issue

Now please don't think I'm a bread head but this has been bugging me.

My reasoning may be flawed but please consider the following in the spirit it was intended, namely to make this place THE place to discovery and buy/sell new music

Can I charge different prices for my music?
Presently no. All songs must be offered for 1 Canadian Dollar (Roughly 90 cents US). This makes life easier for everyone. We are looking to offer more variability on this in the future.

The Center of Music Discussion - One Song

When you're getting your music out there, what spurs discussion?

I belong to an unnamed music production forum (it's a bit dorky - you don't need to know, haha), and every discussion is based around a single song; the topics range from what people liked about it, to harsh critique about it, to its production and composition, and even collaboration opportunities that may stem from it.

But it all revolves around a song.

singles player copy n paste issues

about a month or two ago i was writing to a few people asking them to promo some songs from PO on myspace and a few other place online. each one had trouble trying to paste the singles player - tried - and eventually gave up.

i was wondering why? never thought to ask ... until i posted the singles player on a myspace comment.

P.O. by numbers : members, tracks, trafic, ...

Howdy Project Opus community !

I was looking for different numbers, such as the

* the number of members on P.O.
* the numbers of tracks,
* the numbers of registered members,

but i can't find any relevant information anywhere, and particularly elsewhere, when they talk about Poroject Opus. Could you advice me or give me some numers ?

Thanks for all,

where's the incentive for people to buy tracks? 128 sounds good enough!

Zorx is following the recent celebrations about Opus now streaming in stereo. No doubt it sounds better. With the totally radio hits of yesterday and today now streaming through the import music function at top mp3 fidelity and stereo, our mono tracks were at an audible disadvantage.... boo that.

BUT wasn't the idea that crappy mono previews would encourage people to buy our downloads? Lots of sites offer lo-fi previews? Can't people IMAGINE what they would hear in their EARHOLES if they took the leap and ponied up the one Canadian doll-hair for the real thang?

Woops Sorry about that

It seems that James, Project Opus' architect, made a bit of a stir with his GEEK SPEAK. It attracted lots LOTS LOTS of UBER GEEKS. Which brought our Opus community to a standstill for 1.5 hours.

Sorry for any troubles that this may have casued, gang. But remember geeks love music too. So welcome to the 9000 new visitors to our little corner of the Web! Look around stay awhile. Down load some Ogg Vorbis!

Hey! just noticed the new Opus Portal Player. Very cool.
so, I'm guessing that I have to re-paste new Solo player code for tracks I've already got up?
Still would like to see the individual song art. Coming?

kudos, Opus-heads.
Opus Player sound quality

Is it just me (maybe something I'm doing wrong) or is the sound quality of the Opus Player kinda bad. I did an A/B test with Real Player and Winamp and both sounded far better. I love this site, but the quality of the player is a top priority for promoting my music. Is there a remedy coming...Can anyone else tell the difference? I hope that this can be fixed, because as I mentioned, I do love
