A native of Surrey, B.C., Mr. Kondrashoff is a graduate of Studio 58, Langara College where he studied acting with Anthony Holland. Starring in such musicals as “Cheatin’ Hearts? by Paul Leduc and John Gray’s “Rock and Roll", Mr. Kondrashoff has appeared on all of the major stages and his work has been acknowledged with a Jessie Richardson Theatre Award.
As a principal, Mr. Kondrashoff is seen in “X-Files", “The Amy Fisher Story", "The Titanic" and many other television series and movies. His extensive feature film credits include work with Dennis Miller (“Bordello of Blood"), Emilio Estevez and Richard Dreyfuss (“Stake Out") and Jody Foster (“The Accused") for which Miss Foster received an Academy Award.
Mr. Kondrashoff’s musical compositions evidence a highly cinematic quality – vivid images, strong narration and rich character – sustained by exceptional musicianship. From the numerous one-liners of the title song to the bittersweet waltz, “Rock ‘n’ Roll Darlin’", these songs are full of heart and hope and the gritty, passionate voice of Kim Kondrashoff. “Let the Madness Begin" features some of the West Coast’s most prominent musicians, including Rene Worst of Skywalk, Jerry Adolph of Jim Byrnes Blues Band and the PMIA Musician of the Year, Robbie Steininger.
Since its release, “Let the Madness Begin" has gone to number 10 on the Simon Fraser University Radio during its first week of airplay. A half-hour feature on Mr. Kondrashoff and his debut CD was broadcast on the CJSF program, “Tunies for Loonies".
