An composition marrying the structured and the random. I generated a random series of percussion and bass notes, and then put a drum beat over top. The guitar part is the same pattern of notes played first in semitones. then whole tones, then minor thirds, and then back in reverse order. The Chromatic sequences drop 1, 2, then 3 octaves, hence the name

I wrote this a long time ago, 1985, in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, when I was 16. I first recorded it in 1986 as an instrumental and the gave the only copy of the recording to someone and lost track of it. Finally got around to recording it again a year and a half ago.

Being raised in a good Catholic household meant spending a lot if time in church. I always loved the sound of pipe organ and the baroque chord progressions you would hear from hymnal music. Now I can make it sound cool!
