Wayne of The Remedials and Shannon decided to have a few drinks and play darts with the old folks at The Legion in their hood in what would seem like an uneventful night...

Little did the two know that karaoke was going on and always wanting to be on stage Wayne and Shannon decide to give it a go! Having already downed a couple pitchers of beer and a couple of shooters Wayne goes on stage to do Hank Williams "Jumbalaya" since his voice was still thrashed as was Gabe of The Remedials after doing two shows in two nights! Wayne powered thru it all harsh voiced and raspy and once finished over heard one guys say "Man, that had to hurt!" while in the smoking room. A few shots of Jack Daniels and Scotch for Wayne and a Tequila Paralizer for Shannon, Wayne goes up for round two in which he requests "Good Old Boys" thinking it was the Duke of Hazzard song, realizing his mistake that it wasn't the song he wanted Wayne tells the DJ to kill it and exits stage left. Not to be out done while Shannon's up for Blondie's "Call Me" since she doesn't do French she had to mumble thru that part of the tune. After another pitcher of beer and a few shots of Fireball (Gabe of The Remedials hates Fireball) when the DJ threw down some David Allen Coe, Wayne of The Remedials had to jump on stage and join in on the action! Wayne and Shannon decide on the last two songs they'll do for the night and give Gabe of The Remedials a call to let em' know what they were. Wayne says "Hey we're loaded at The Legion doing karaoke and Shannon's gonna sing The Divinyls "I Touch Myself" and I'm gonna do Dead Kennedys "Too Drunk To Fuck!" to which Gabe goes "No way, they have a Dead Kennedys song for karaoke! You gotta phone me when you go on and let me listen to that!" Wayne responds with "I'm gonna do another four shots of Scotch before I go on and call ya back!" After about ten minutes Gabe gets a call from Wayne that Shannon got a free drink (not that they really needed anymore to drink) for her stellar performance of the song! But when Wayne went up, after just singing the first chorus of the song the waitress started to freak out and got the DJ to kill the song, as well he forgot to phone Gabe back. While still at The Legion and after copious amount of alcohol Wayne staggers to the washroom and pukes filling the bowl twice! Shannon was able to wait till they got home though! All together an alright night for those crazy kids! Since it's Shannon's B-Day this weekend The Remedials are gonna get wasted!

The Remedials Get Zolarized!

Gabe of The Remedials pulled another two shows in one night again. Having done this on more than a few occasions like The Dropkick Murphys at the C.C.C. and The Hanson Brothers at The Cobalt, The Weedies at B.C.I.T. (Gabe of The Remedials and Kwin of Denderah were only on the school property for about five minutes before they had two security guards hassle them) and Willy B. Sober at The Brickyard (RIP) and VBA Show #1 at The Buffalo Club and Deerhoof at Dicks.

The Remedials Emerge At Emergenza

A few bands in the VBA entered the Emergenza Music Festival at The Media Club when it was here. Not knowing anything about this festival Gabe of The Remedials had to search what this thing was all about since he couldn't even pronounce the name right. There was a little controversy about the whole festival from some of the bands who entered, who are we kidding there was a lot actually. But since it's a battle of the bands were the winner is decided by how many tickets you sell what do ya expect? Scoring tickets for half the suggested retail price Gabe showed up to the weekend long festival to support our buds in bands that played. The first night Dreams of Treason played to their peeps and bands LTG, Novastatik, The Weedies and The Remedials. Since Gabe of The Remedials hung out with them before the show we know Alex may have had a few too many. Regardless, they had a rad show and advanced to next round at Dick's on April 1st! The Remedials were unable to attend the next night cuz they has a house party to play not that they needed to show since Skookum they band we wanted to see advanced to the next round anyways! The second last night The Weedies put on an amazing show as always! The Remedials are gonna give The Weedies props for doing the most punk rock thing ever by playing a cover in the festival! The last night Novastatik played The Remedials tried to get there but were too messed up to make it. Not that it mattered they advanced to the next round as well. Congratulations to all the bands who advanced and The Remedials will be there to cheer ya on (provided ya make with the discount tickets) and drink beer!
