Several years ago, I worked as a box stuffer at a local record store. I would open crates of cd’s, price them, and lug the merch upstairs, grumbling quietly about how these boxes should be filled with my own creations. I wasn’t the only frustrated artist in this musical biosphere; there was a host of talent under that roof. DJ’s, metal bassists, rappers, indie rockers… you name it, that store was a refuge. Michael Betmanis was one of those tortured souls, although at that point I had little notion of his talent.

They say that music knows no boundaries. No subject is left untouched, and no race, creed or class is excluded from the process, or its results. Music, as introspective as it may seem, tends to be a global unifier, bringing people together for a purpose. Everybody loves a good story.
Chris Carder is a story teller, father, musician, and an explorer. Hailing from Lousville Kentucky, he's traveled the world and jammed from government palaces in Indonesia to the deserts of Africa. Most rock stars can't claim that level of commitment to any cause.

Take two interactive will employ Matador's artists music for some of its sports game soundtracks in the 2K Sports division.
