ok...god knows i love this kid, (and i'm feeling the slightest twinge of guilt about saying this), but good god damn am i ever excited about my sister's return tomorrow....and the returning of the nephew that goes along with it.
i can't even complain because he's a wicked kid. he's only 2 1/2. he's all about skateboards, high fives and knuckles and seriously an all around good time. he doesn't whine, he's cool in pretty much every situation and is an all around rad little mini dude.

oh my my....the holiday season brings with it copious amounts of parties, in which people, er.....often have a tendency to 'get festive' shall we say.
this last weekend was one such weekend, and even though for now i have to run, i will be back this evening to begin the posting of photographic evidence.

i realized today (as i was solicited by another organization seeking donations) that i don't do nearly enough in terms of 'giving' on a daily basis.
sure, i contribute in my own ways to my community. the recent loss of a life in front of me however, has triggered an inventory of what it is that i'm actually doing in life that matters. that makes a difference. that truly helps someone other than myself. not pretty.
