If you live in Vancouver BC Canada, by now you’ve heard the name Shiver at least once. Known to promoters as ‘The Almighty Shiver’, Brad Pedwell (vocals), Chris Hamilton (guitar), David Dyck (bass), and newest recruit Adam Baldwin (drums) fuse melodic vocals with riff-based guitars to form a captivating variation of melodic metal. Together, Shiver is the sum of their influences, ranging from Megadeth, to Meat Loaf to N’Sync. (we like that song ‘bye bye bye’ with the little dance.)
Shiver has become renowned for being one of the hardest working, and most consistantly impressive bands in Vancouver, and they have a growing fan base to prove it.
For the last 3 years, Shiver has been touring across the Lower Mainland of BC in support of their first independant release: "You Can't Kill What You Can't Find", a 6 song EP produced solely by the band. The release sparked the interest of numerous commercial labels but the band,sworn independant as always, still remains to be the crown jewel of Pedwell (vocals) independant record label Open Box Entertainment.
2005 saw Shiver gain commercial radio success with single ‘Restitution’ which can be requested on major and college radio stations across the country, a video is not far behind.
Shiver has recently released their new effort, sharing the album duties with Pedwell (vocals) solo project, in a spllit album aptly titled ‘The Fear’. Shiver is currently touring in support of this release and can be found drinking in a park near you.
