The 31st Annual Uncle Dave Macon Days Festival was held July 11 - 13, 2008 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In the Guitar category, flatpicker Robert Bowlin (Bill Monroe, Osbourne Brothers, Kathy Mattea bands) of Illinois took first place. His current CD is "Six String Soliloquy", and it was released on FGM Records in 2007.
